The video features a conversational interview with Brendan, an Australian Football League (AFL) player, and an unnamed participant (Speaker B). Brendan recounts his early involvement in AFL from age five, his move from Victoria to Western Australia, and his selection for state competitions before a four‑year hiatus. At 25, he is returning to the sport with the Sydney Swans reserves, hoping for divine guidance. He then shares a personal testimony of having been homeless, living on park feeds in Parramatta and Melbourne, and how a Hillsong Street Team member invited him to church with the promise of a post‑service KFC meal. Accepting the invitation led to a recommitment to God, which he describes as an unexplainable, healing experience that changed his life. Brendan credits Hillsong’s street teams and the Salvation Army for helping him get his life back on track, expressing deep gratitude and emphasizing the positive impact of faith‑based community outreach.

Introduce yourselves first.
Hey, hey, how you doing?
I'm Brendan.
Chris. Will.
And Brendan's an AFL player. Yeah, I don't mind a bit of AFL. Started playing when I was about 5, getting into it. Started with VicKick in Victoria, and then when I was 9, moved to WA, and I was selected for the state footy comp where I played for about 6 years. And then I didn't play for about 4 years, and now this year I'm I'm going down to the Sydney Swans reserves, and at 25, I'm gonna give it another crack and see what Jesus reckons. Absolutely.
You'll see him on TV next season, Chalantel?
Possibly, yeah. You're part of Hillsong, right? Yeah, that's right. Chalantel's got the right shirt.
Tell us a bit about how you became part of Hillsong.
Well, I was actually a street person as well. I was coming down, getting feeds from the park. I was just cruising around Para and Melbourne, and I've been in Sydney about 2 years now. And a Hillsong Street Kid then down one week and they said, do you want to come to church? And I said, no, no way, man, no way. Next week they said, do you want to come to church? We'd go to KFC afterwards. And I said, yeah, man, I'm there. No, like, that's my favorite food. That night I actually, um, recommitted to God, um, recommitted myself. And, uh, great feeling, mate. Unexplainable breeze through my body. And, uh, it was just the best thing I've ever done in my life. Since then I've been totally healed and, uh, life has I've been living on life's terms again, but life on God's terms more importantly, you know, and serving the Lord. And things are really good today, you know, thanks to people like yourselves, the Hillsong Street Teams, the Salvation Army, just helping people get their lives on track, you know. It's absolutely just a great thing that people do, you know. Awesome.
Thanks, man. Do I say anything, Christian?
No, I think he's wrapped it up pretty well. Yeah, he's on the right track.
