Currently only Japan, South Korea, and UAE nationals with existing e-visas get this. The proposal also wants a simpler e-visa portal with fewer forms and better payment options.

NRIs and foreign travelers coming to India might soon get it a lot easier. A new report by NITI Aayog along with the Ministry of Tourism has made some big recommendations to make tourist entry into India smoother. The big one, a 90-day multiple entry visa on arrival for selected countries. That means eligible travelers could get their entry permission right at the airport or seaport. No need to apply in advance. Right now, this facility is only for nationals of Japan, South Korea, and the UAE, and if they already have an Indian e-visa. The report also wants to make the e-visa portal simpler. Fewer forms, better payment options, and fewer technical glitches. As of now, 175 countries are already eligible for the e-visa. Keep in mind, this is still just a proposal. It hasn't become a rule yet, but the direction is clear. So tell me, do you think India's visa process is still too complicated, or will these reforms be enough?
