Indian passport expiring while you are in the USA? Don't worry, you can start your renewal online without going to India. In this video, we will show you exactly how to complete the Passport Seva application and get your ARN. First, log in to the Passport Seva portal for Indian embassies and consulates. If you are a new user, register your account first. Once you are logged in, go to Services, Ordinary Passport, and start a new application. If you have your old passport details, you can enter them to help fill in the application. Otherwise, you can skip this step. Now next, select Reissue of Passport. And choose the reason that applies to you, like your passport expired or is expiring soon. Then select your passport booklet size and continue. Now carefully enter your personal details, family details, Indian and US addresses, emergency contact, and previous passport information. You will also need to answer declaration questions related to things like court cases, criminal proceedings, or previous passport issues. Before submitting, review everything carefully. Check your name, date of birth, address, and passport details because even small mistakes can create problems later. Once everything is correct, submit the application. And this is important. After submission, you will receive your ARN, Application Reference Number. Save it immediately, take a screenshot, write it down, and keep it safe. And that's part 1.
