Choosing The Right Pricing Plan for Kajabi

James Allen breaks down Kajabi's three pricing tiers: Basic, Growth, and Pro. The Basic plan costs $119 monthly and includes one product, while the Pro tier at $399 monthly removes all product limits and adds features like affiliate programs and custom code. Unlike Teachable, Kajabi charges zero transaction fees across all plans.

Kajabi has 3 different pricing plan options from Basic, Growth, and Pro. Today we're gonna dive into each one of these and the different features that come with it, some things to look out for from someone who's been using Kajabi for a couple years now, all with the hopes that you pick the best plan for you and your business based on where you're at right now. By the way, if you wanna take advantage of a free 30-day trial of Kajabi to play with the platform yourself, you can use my link profityourknowledge.com/kajabi. This is an affiliate link, so I get a small percentage of your investment in Kajabi, but there's no extra cost to you compared to if you went through Kajabi's website yourself. All this does is simply support me and this channel for referring someone to Kajabi. But when you sign up with my link, I'm gonna give you instant access to a course I created called Kajabi Kickstart, which is gonna help you set up and launch your online business with Kajabi in that first 30 days. On top of that, when you're inside of Kajabi Kickstart, you will have access to a free 45-minute coaching session with me where you and I both get to deep dive into your Kajabi account, and I will be there to answer any questions you have about Kajabi marketing or even making your first sale with the platform. All this is free, and you can get instant access by going to profityourknowledge.com/kajabi or clicking the link down in the description. Without further ado, let's dive into Kajabi. If you go to kajabi.com/pricing, you'll land on the different pricing plan options that we have here. Pricing plans that grow with you, 100% true. I love Kajabi. I think they do a great job at what they do, and it may seem intimidating for this, uh, this price point for you, any one of them, but you just have to realize like how much you're actually getting with Kajabi. And in my opinion, now that I know how to use it, not using Kajabi I think is more expensive than actually just using it. It simplifies your entire online business. So let's just squish that bug right now. It's 100% worth the investment no matter which plan you decide to choose, and all of them are awesome. All of them are going to help you create a very successful online business. So we're on the annual plan right now where you pay a lump sum and then you get to save 20%, and it comes out to about $119 per month for Basic, $159 for Growth, and then $319 for the Pro plan. I just want to say real quick, majority of people do not need the Pro plan. Okay, I am on the Growth plan, the most popular one, and I'll go into some reasons as to why I chose that one. But the Pro plan is like, no, it's so unnecessary for the majority of people that choose Kajabi, which is why the Growth plan is the most popular. So here we have— this is what they tell you: getting your business up and running, get your business up and running. The basic plan— what's beautiful about Kajabi that a lot of other tools, not all of them, do is that you have 0% transaction fee on anything that you sell. Kajabi's not going to take extra money. Teachable, not my favorite platform, they take extra percentages until you are paying the amount that you would be paying for Kajabi, or that you could pay for Kajabi. And Kajabi has a better interface. I did a whole video about Teachable versus Kajabi. Kajabi's better. But this is really big— zero transaction fees every single plan. Okay, on the basic plan, you get 3 products, which may not sound like a lot, but but think about it like this. An online course is a, it's a product. A membership site is a product, and a coaching program is a product as well. So what I would recommend to have a really healthy business that you can promote and you can cycle through different products, if you did choose the basic plan with these 3 products, to be smart with it instead of just building a bunch of random products, you could have a mini course that's like $50, okay? So that's an entry-level course for people, and then you can have a full-fledged like flagship course that goes— it's like your main course, and that's like $200. And then you can have a membership site down the road. You can have a very successful online business, and then you have 3 funnels. So you can have one funnel for each product. Okay, so mini-course, flagship course, and then your membership site. Notice how I didn't say host your coaching program on there. Kajabi allows you to do that. In my opinion, don't do it, because you can create digital products like online courses that cause you not to trade your time for money. They allow you to not trade your time for money when you learn how to sell them properly and passively. A coaching program, you're trading your time for money. I don't do any coaching inside of Kajabi other than my online courses. Okay, a membership site's different because you want to have a product and things like that. But yeah, if you use those 3 products, you would crush it. Do your coaching outside, just host Zoom meetings, use other tools to, um, to meet with your clients. So all you really need is Zoom and then Google Docs to take notes. Unlimited landing pages. This is on all your plans. That's huge because with the landing pages, you can actually link your landing pages together, and if you know what you're doing, you can create unlimited funnels that way too, because these landing pages can all link together. You get opt-in pages, sales pages, thank you pages, everything you need. And another thing they don't mention here is that you get unlimited offers, okay, which is huge. So certain amount of products, but because you have different offers, you can sell a lot of other things through Kajabi without taking up your products, or you can bundle these different products together and have a special deal as a new offer, and it doesn't take up any more of your product spaces, which is big. Unlimited marketing emails, that's huge. There's no restriction on the amount of emails that you can send with like MailChimp. I think they give you a restriction, uh, 10,000 contacts. This is your email list, 10,000 people on an email list. If you kept that really clean, That is huge. That is so valuable. I'd rather have 10,000 people on an email list that are incredibly engaged and whatnot on my email list than have, you know, like over in the Pro Plan, 100,000 contacts that aren't. Okay, keep your list tight. You have to be more strategic on the Basic Plan, in my opinion, and less kind of aloof, and you're gonna do fine. Active customers, 1,000, but you can have a customer that pays for every one of your products. So you can keep selling new products to your customer, to the same customer, okay? But you only do get 1,000 customers, okay? Don't get discouraged by it. You get one website, one admin user, which most likely is gonna be you. So that's the basic plan. The growth plan, now we go through expand your offering and grow your audience, okay? You should always be growing your audience, but yeah, zero transaction fees, 15 products now, 15 funnels, so a funnel for each product is the idea, Unlimited landing pages, again you can link landing pages and email sequences and all that stuff to basically create endless funnels, so you do get unlimited funnels. Okay, between unlimited offers and unlimited landing pages, unlimited funnels. Unlimited marketing emails, that's really big, you don't have to worry about, oh am I gonna meet my quota this week for like, or meet my cap on how many emails I can send, or this year or anything, it's no, you don't gotta worry about any of that. So you can have automated email sequences, like inside your funnels and stuff, unlimited, however many you want. 25,000 contacts. If you keep your list clean, which is really easy to do inside of Kajabi, that is huge. 25,000 people. People see like 25,000, like, oh, that's not that much. If you spoke on a stage in front of 25,000 people or even 10,000 people, like on the basic plan, which is what your email list kind of is every time you send 'em an email, if they are engaged, 25,000, that is insane. To put it into perspective, if you look at like Russell Brunson's speech in the 10X conference or whatever, that was 9,000 people and it filled an entire stadium. If you see those massive soccer games, that's usually like 10,000 to 15,000 people. Okay, so that's even more. This is like multiple stadiums worth of people, and I think people just don't really realize that and put it into perspective. 'Kay, you get 10,000 active customers. Those are 10,000 people. That's a stadium, for some stadiums, of people paying for your stuff. And they can continue to pay for your stuff over and over again with different products you offer them. Huge. One website with Kajabi, but you can add a lot of different website pages, and you can create your unlimited landing pages and turn them into your website even. 'Kay, there's a lot of ways to play this game. And you get 10 admin users. So that's like if you have like a virtual assistant or a team, then your admin users can be your, your team members, okay? Now we get into the real juicy stuff with the growth plan. This is why I wanted to choose the growth plan. Makes sense for me and my business. All the features of basic are included, plus you get some extra stuff like 15 products and funnels and all that. Now you get access to the affiliate program, which is what I'm in. That's where people can use my link in Kajabi to get a 30-day free trial and they get a free course about Kajabi that I made, and I get paid out from people that sign up for Kajabi under my link. It comes over, it supports me, and it's awesome because I refer people over to Kajabi because I'm in love with Kajabi. I help people build out funnels and online courses and coaching programs and that kind of stuff in their own business, so it just makes sense. I was doing this for a long time before I even signed up on the affiliate program. I was just being like, go use Kajabi 'cause it's amazing. Okay, so now when you're on this, uh, the growth plan, you can get paid basically by Kajabi for referring people to Kajabi. So if you teach things like funnel building and online courses and anything related to that, and you use Kajabi yourself, why not just tell your clients about it? Be like, hey, use my link, you'll get a 30-day free trial, and then you can get some other goodies. They're always giving different, different, uh, perks and bonuses for people in the affiliate program, so it's really big. The other one was the 24/7 chat support. Massive, 24/7 chat support. Anytime I have questions, I can always message them. They get back to me in a couple minutes, and then I'm there with them, and they help me with whatever problems I have. It's setting up my domain name, fixing some weird technical stuff that I don't even know. They are the tech people. They help me. Huge, huge, huge. You don't get that on the basic plan, okay? Very, very important. Advanced automations. This is really big too. Basically, when you create an automation, they have a when-then idea. So when someone buys a product, then subscribe them to an email sequence or send them an email or a coupon or whatever you want to do. So the advanced automations are when-then-if, and you get to add a condition. Okay, so that's what makes it quote-unquote advanced. When someone buys a product, then subscribe them to an email sequence, but only if they don't have the product that this email sequence is going to offer down the road. Okay, and then you also get the ability to remove Kajabi branding, which is kind of cool. It doesn't— it's not really crazy, just at the bottom of your website or pages it'll say powered by Kajabi. So you can turn on or off that branding as you please if you're on the growth plan. The biggest thing is the affiliate program. Advanced automations are really nice, especially with complex funnels and things. And then 24/7 chat support. Those are like the real big features that really matter. Be smart with your products. I don't even use 15 products, okay? I don't need to use 15 products, I don't wanna use 15 products. Just a lot of unnecessary stuff. Less products and having a cap on that will actually serve you more in creating better quality products at higher price points and being smarter with how you're building it, okay? Something to consider. And then the Pro plan, if you are at that point in your business, 100 products, 100 funnels, it's insane. Unlimited landing pages and marketing emails. You get 100,000 contacts and 20,000 active customers. 3 websites, 25 admin users. This is if you're on like a big team and you're like big time. I guarantee that there's people on the Pro plan the biggest selling point for them could be like more admin users. 25 is a, that's a lot of people. Uh, but it's probably this, it's probably the active customers and the contacts. If you want to have, some people have a 300,000 person email list. Okay. That's big. Okay. So that's where you would really need the pro plan. But most people, if you keep your email list clean, 25,000, again, like it's like stadiums, 2 stadiums. It's freaking insane. Alright, 100,000 is wild, that's a lot of people. And then down here, the, the big thing as well is you get everything in all these plans, plus a custom code editor, which is kind of interesting because there's ways that you can tweak the code and whatnot and all that kind of stuff. You could do coding inside of the growth plan as well. Okay, so I think the custom code editor, they have like specific code sets and presets that you can add in if you wanna add like a certain type of checkout page or things to your checkout page or landing page, that kind of stuff. Okay, but you can like add your own coding inside of the Growth and the Basic plan too. And then for some reason you had even more than 100,000 contacts, you could always just contact sales and then you could talk to them about like, hey, I have a list of like 300,000 people, it's a lot, so how can I move them over to Kajabi 'cause I really wanna use Kajabi, et cetera, et cetera. And the cool thing is that you can start any one of these plans to really get a hands-on feel with it and see what Kajabi is capable of by just clicking the button, start your free trial. Kajabi is going to give you a 14-day free trial to play with any one of the plans that you decide to choose. But if you use my link down in the description, profityourknowledge.com/kajabi, you're going to get a 30-day free trial, and there's no extra cost to you if you decide to sign up under my link versus Kajabi's link. It's the same exact price regardless. I just get a small commission for referring someone over to Kajabi. But to sweeten the deal, on top of your 30-day free trial, you're also going to get instant access to a course I made called Kajabi Kickstart, which is going to walk you through how to set up and launch your online business, build a marketing funnel, create a really good product that you know is going to sell, all inside of Kajabi. Inside that first 30 days, I put everything that you need into 5 simple screen share lessons all inside of Kajabi and inside of Kajabi Kickstart. There's a link where you can book a 1-to-1 coaching call with me where I'll personally sit down with you, answer any questions you have about Kajabi marketing, sales, building your first online course or your next online course, setting up your business idea, coming up with it, whatever it is that you want to cover.
