Hacking the 3 Product Limit in Kajabi

James Allen shows how to work around Kajabi's three-product limit on the Basic plan by using unlimited offers and checkout pages to bundle courses and memberships into special packages. He recommends hosting coaching outside Kajabi with Zoom, Calendly, and Voxer, then focusing your three products on an entry-level mini-course, flagship full course, and membership.

If you're on Kajabi's basic plan, which is about $150 per month, you only get 3 products. And this is a bit of a letdown for people. They think, oh my God, I only get 3 products and paying that much money. You're also paying for a lot more stuff. It's totally worth it. And today I'm actually gonna show you a couple ways that you can actually work around this quote unquote 3-product limit by using coaching programs and bundles. If you want to take advantage of a free 30-day trial of Kajabi to play with the platform yourself, you can use my link profityourknowledge.com/kajabi. This is an affiliate link, so I get a small percentage of your investment in Kajabi, but there's no extra cost to you compared to if you went through Kajabi's website yourself. All this does is simply support me and this channel for referring someone to Kajabi. But when you sign up with my link, I'm going to give you instant access to a course I created called Kajabi Kickstart, which is going to help you setup and launch your online business with Kajabi in that first 30 days. On top of that, when you're inside of Kajabi Kickstart, you will have access to a free 45-minute coaching session with me where you and I both get to deep dive into your Kajabi account, and I will be there to answer any questions you have about Kajabi marketing or even making your first sale with the platform. All this is free, and you can get instant access by going to profityourknowledge.com/kajabi or clicking the link down in the description. Without further ado, let's dive into Kajabi. To get around this little obstacle that we have of 3 products, if you don't feel like upgrading to the growth plan, which is the plan that I'm on, so I get up to 15 products, what we're gonna do is go to the products tab and we're gonna go to all products or courses, that's fine. Notice that what I have here as this example, I have the Epic Mini Course, which is a course, and then my Suite Mini Course, which is another course, but then I have my awesome coaching program, which is coaching. If this is you, if you have two different products and then you have a coaching program, first thing I'd recommend to do is to delete your coaching program. That's right, if this is a problem, unless you want to upgrade to the next level. Because I don't even host my coaching programs inside of Kajabi, I just host courses. And eventually down the road I want to have a membership site as well, but right now not really my focus. So if you're hosting a course and a membership site, those are some great options. And if you are on the 3-product limit, I challenge you to be more strategic about the types of products that you are building. For example, I would recommend if it was me and I was stuck in this 3-product limit, I would have a mini course anywhere from $50 to $100 that was just an entry-level course for people. The, the second product I would create would be a flagship course or a more extensive full-fledged online course. And that would be anywhere from $200 to, you know, $300 or $500, somewhere in that range. And that would be the next step up. And then I would consider making eventually down the road a membership site. If you just had a mini course, a full-fledged course, and then a membership site, and then you did your coaching outside of it. And I'll make another video about how I kind of run my own coaching program. I use like Zoom and some other tools, and it's very streamlined for me, and they're basically free tools. You know, it's like, it's very cheap to run my coaching program. But anyway, I would do my coaching outside of Kajabi. I would just host a mini course, a flagship course, and then a membership site inside of this, or a community of some kind, a paid community. And that's what would be my 3 products. So, The first tip is just be more strategic with the types of products that you are building because those 3 products with your coaching outside of Kajabi will give you a very, very healthy and substantial business and many different entry points for people to decide to work with you, okay? So that's the first thing. But let's say that you're all maxed out. What can we do to get around this challenge? Well, we're gonna go over to the sales tab and inside the sales tab you'll see a bunch of different offers. This is where we also need to be strategic. Yes, Kajabi gives you on their pricing plan, when you sign up for the basic program, you only get 3 products. That's okay. What we get unlimited of are offers and landing pages. Unlimited checkout pages come with every single offer you make, so you can have unlimited checkout pages too. So what you can do is go up here to new offer. We'll call this the super awesome Bundle. And look at this, products, product or products in this offer, select one or more products. So what we're gonna do is we're gonna have the different products that we have. And if you had, let's say, these three, or maybe you had the example that I shared with you where you have the mini course, the full-fledged course, and then you had a membership site or paid community as well, you would click all of these or just two of them and say those are the products I want to have in this bundle, okay? So the bundle is a new offer, and you get to create a whole new offer for this with the programs you've already created. It's just now they're bundled together as a special offer, and you can decide if you want this to be a multi-pay subscription or one-time payment. We'll say a one-time payment. Let's say that, you know, you get, you get 3 online courses for the price of 1, or 2 online courses for the price of 1. And you wanted to have a special offer for, let's say, $197, but the value of that is significantly more. Okay, let customers pay what they want, you don't have to worry about that, pick your payment provider and then save and finish. Okay, so now we have, this is the offer summary of what we've created so far. Products in this offer, we have my sweet mini course, my awesome coaching program, which can be something different, and then the epic mini course. So you're just bundling different offers and programs together. I would challenge you if you wanna make more money and be more strategic with 3 products as well as to charge more for your products by making better products. Do better customer research, find the problems people care about, spend more time making your products be amazing instead of just building one and moving on to the next one. When you build one, really focus on getting people into it and optimizing that to be the best experience possible for people. When you have a great streamlined process with your online course or product, it's gonna be epic, you know? It's gonna be something that people care about and that they want to invest in because it facilitates the transformation that they want. Okay, so build better products. When you do that, you can charge more money. But yeah, this is how you do it. You just have to think about how can you bundle the different packages and products that you have together. Okay, maybe they get access to 2 different courses and then they get, you know, the first month free for your membership site. Okay, you can play around with this and get really fancy with it, but think about creating bundles. That's how you can start to create more products, quote unquote, is just by thinking about offers, because you get unlimited offers, okay? And you build out your own checkout page, your own landing page for all this too, and then you can hit save. So to sum up the big 3 points really is first off, if you're gonna host a coaching program, which you should by the way if you're on Kajabi, don't host it in Kajabi, host it outside. Just use Zoom to schedule the recurring meeting, use Calendly, which are the tools that I use, and I use Google Drive and have a shared Google folder as well. That's all I need. I was doing that way before I even started using Kajabi, okay, and I just stuck with it 'cause it works for me. I have templates and whatnot that I use. All inside of Google Drive. So it's just Google Drive, Calendly, I use Voxer as well, which is free, just to stay in touch in between calls, and then Zoom, and that's where I meet with my clients, okay? Or they can even hop on a phone call, like whatever. Just don't create a product as a coaching program inside of Kajabi. That's the first tip I'd say. The other thing is to get more strategic with the type of products that you are building, okay? Solve better problems, solve bigger problems, do more research, put more effort into your programs, and you will in turn create a much better program, okay? And from there you can charge more, and that's it. Solve better problems, charge more money because you solved a bigger problem, and get more people into the door, okay? You can always expand courses too to become better programs down the road. And then the third tip is to focus on bundles. You get unlimited offers inside of Kajabi, so how can you bundle the different products that you do have into some special bundles that you can charge a bit more for because they get more value. It's a little bit higher of a price point, but in the grand scheme of things, it's actually a much better deal for them. If you're thinking about trying out Kajabi, the best way to do it is to just get a hands-on feel of the platform yourself.
