When I launched my coaching business back in 2018, hitting $10,000 a month seemed like this impossible dream. But today it's become my new normal. So in this video, I'm revealing the exact steps that I would take to make my first $10,000 in just 30 days as an online coach. That way you don't have to take the same long, hard road that I did. And don't worry, you don't need to be a bro marketer to make this happen. So if you want to build this coaching business, the very first thing that we need to figure out is your niche. Now, when it comes to your niche, do you feel like you're just guessing and hoping something sticks? If so, you are not alone. What if I told you that your niche isn't something that that you find, but instead it's something that you dial in over time. Let me explain. Imagine you're putting together a puzzle, but you don't have the picture on the box. At first, it feels overwhelming. You don't know where each piece goes, and you might even try forcing pieces together that don't fit. But instead of stressing over the entire puzzle, you start with the edges. This is your passions, your skills, your experience. Then you find a corner piece, and this is equivalent to the problem that your audience is struggling with. As you fill in the middle, things start to make a lot more sense, and before you know it, you have a clear picture, which is your niche. Finding your niche works in the same exact way. It isn't about guessing, it's about piecing together what you already know and what your audience needs. And the more pieces you place together, the more people you work with and action steps that you take, the clearer this will get. To get you started with finding your niche, just fill in this formula: I help specific person get big result. Some examples of this can look like, I help men land more dates using dating apps. I help amateur golfers go pro. I help women grow Etsy stores. Notice how these aren't so specific. It's not, I help female entrepreneurs who have a passion for singing and they're trying to lean into that passion so that they can make more money in their business and reignite their passion. No, it's just simple. I help this specific type of person get this big result that they really care about. When you fill in that formula, we can start to move on. Now even with a perfect niche, you will never get the results that you want without this next piece. Imagine walking into a restaurant, sitting down at a table, and the waiter comes over, but instead of handing you a menu, they just say, "So what do you want?" Even if you are hungry, you're not sure what they offer, what's available, or what's the most popular item. And chances are you might just leave and find a place that actually tells you what's on the menu. This is exactly what happens when you don't have a clear offer. People might be interested, but if they don't know what you're selling or how you can really help them, they're not going to stick around. So your offer is your menu. It clearly tells people what's available, how you can help, and why they should choose you over other options. Without it, potential clients feel confused and move on. But when your offer is clear and irresistible, people know exactly what to order and they're excited to buy. So don't just invite people into your business. Give them a menu that makes saying yes an absolute no-brainer. Alex Hormozi said this so well: make an offer so good that people feel stupid saying no. Now, in the beginning of your coaching business, it's very likely that you don't know how to make an offer that is so good that people feel stupid saying no. But when you nail your niche, this becomes so much easier because you know what these people really care about. And if you can position yourself as somebody who is credible enough to actually help them get that result, that can be enough to get started. So here's the offer that I'd recommend if I were starting my coaching business over with absolutely nothing. I would offer a 3-month coaching program that is private one-to-one coaching with me one time per week, totaling out to 12 sessions. These could be held on a phone call or Zoom call as well. I would also include Voxer or email support. Basically, you want some direct line of communication with you in between your coaching calls. That way people can reach out to you anytime they need you through either Voxer or email. If they have questions, they wanna share ideas or get feedback, you are there for them in between your regular weekly calls. And as far as an investment goes, I would recommend pricing your coaching from $500 to $1,000 per month initially. This totally depends on how much experience you have as your background and how confident you are in making that offer. But I would not go lower than $500 per month, even if you are new, assuming that you do have credibility and a good background. Now, if you want to hit $10,000 per month in 30 days, you would need to either have 20 clients who pay you $500 per month or 10 clients paying you $1,000 per month. Finding that many people in the beginning could be a challenge, but we'll get to that in a minute. So an easier way for you to start making more money is to incentivize people to pay in full for the 3 months upfront. To make this an absolute no-brainer option for your potential client, you can either offer a slight discount or some sort of special bonus when people pay in full. If you have some courses or books or resources that you want to include if people pay in full, you can absolutely do that. But if you don't have courses or resources, don't worry. You can always offer a 1-day deep dive where you spend 1 day with them online and you just go over one important aspect of their life or their business. Get creative. Come up with something that works for you that you can offer if people decide to pay in full. That way they feel incentivized to do it, and that's going to help you hit those $10K months so much faster. All right. So you've nailed down your niche and created an irresistible offer. But even with the best offer in the world, it won't matter if nobody knows about it. That's why this next piece is so critical, and that's finding clients. Think about this like fishing for a second. You can have the best bait, the most expensive rod, and all the skills to reel in a big catch, but if you're casting your line in an empty pond, you're not gonna catch anything. Finding clients works the same way. You can have the perfect offer, but if you're putting it in front of the wrong people, or worse, nobody at all, you are going to be waiting forever. Instead, you gotta go where the fish are, and not just any fish, the ones that are hungry for exactly what you're offering. One of the best ways to attract people is by creating content that they're already searching for. If I restarted my business from ground zero, this would be the first thing that I would start doing right away. Aside from nailing my niche, think about it. If your ideal clients are searching for solutions online, you want to be the one that they find. The best type of content to focus on is evergreen deep dive content. Think YouTube videos or blog posts. These are searchable. They go deep into a topic so people can spend some time with you. And when you focus on targeted topics that people are actively searching for, this is a phenomenal way for you to get discovered and showcase your expertise. It's like casting your line right where all the fish are hungry for what you have. When they search, your content shows up, answers their questions, builds a relationship, and pulls them into your world. To get started finding clients, I'd recommend starting now with creating one good YouTube video or blog post that they are searching for every single week. This is going to become a normal habit that you have in your business in terms of marketing yourself. But creating content is just one piece of the puzzle. The real magic happens when you start having conversations with real people. Something I do with my private clients is take on a 30 invites challenge. This is where you challenge yourself to have 30 Powerful coaching conversations in 30 days. I've seen people go from wondering where their next client is coming from to filling their calendar overnight by taking on this challenge. If they can do it, so can you. Basically, you're gamifying the process of putting yourself out there, connecting with people, and offering value without any pressure to sell. And if you're thinking, well, James, how do you get clients if you're not pressuring people to sell? When you filled in that niche formula, I help specific person get big results, you want to find that specific person who wants the big result and then offer to help them get that result. This challenge is all about having genuine, intentional conversations that inspire trust and curiosity. When you focus on building these connections, clients naturally start to see you as the go-to coach who understands them, and they're going to want to learn more about working with you. That is how you reel in consistent clients and get to that first $10,000 month. This isn't about hard selling or fancy marketing. It's about showing up serving and inviting people to take the next step with you. If you want to learn the best way that I've been able to do this myself without being a slave to social media algorithms, I have a free training that breaks down how I make between $10K to $20K a month with just one social media post.
