In this video, I'm gonna show you how to create a website using Kajabi. Kajabi is an all-in-one platform designed to help you monetize your knowledge and expertise. Not only can you build a website in Kajabi, but you can host and sell online courses, coaching programs, memberships, or communities. You get checkout pages, automations, email marketing, and funnels all without having to pay for any other subscriptions. It's a little bit more expensive than other tools, but because it's truly all-in-one, you end up saving a ton of money and tech headaches in the long run because you're not trying to duct tape a bunch of different tools together. And when you have $50 here, $100 here, $20 here, all these different tools end up adding up and they don't communicate as well together. So that's really what separates Kajabi from all the other options out there. If you're thinking about trying out Kajabi, I have a 30-day free trial right below this video when you use my link. I'm also gonna include a full Kajabi course I made that walks you through everything that I've done to build my 6-figure online business in Kajabi screen by screen, from enrolling high-ticket clients is selling digital products while they sleep. It's all covered inside the course. Just click the buttons that I click and you're going to look like a pro on Kajabi from day one. To get all the details, just click the link right below this video, or you can visit profityourknowledge.com/kajabi. All right, so let's dive into creating your website inside of Kajabi. Right off the bat, when you get into your Kajabi dashboard, you're gonna have a couple tabs over here to the left. We're obviously going to click on the website tab, but you can see Sales, you have your offers. This is like your checkout pages. You can do invoices, coupons, have affiliates. You can create a cart. You can have all your different products like courses, coaching, community, podcasts, paid newsletters, and downloads as well. And then your marketing, you get email campaigns, funnels, automations. You can host events and you get different forms as well. And you get all your contacts, analytics. It's a very robust platform. And part of that is why people get so overwhelmed when they jump into Kajabi. So That's why I give you my course when you use my link, or I make tutorials like this to show you how to use this platform, because once you get it down, it really is a pretty simple platform, but it's very robust and there's a lot of cool stuff you can do. So what we're gonna do is go into the website tab, and from here you're gonna have the design, which is what we're seeing here, website pages, landing pages, navigation, and blog. Everything in regards to your website is going to be inside the website tab. Now there's a difference that I wanna point out between website pages and landing pages right here. So website pages are your normal website pages that you have, so like your homepage, your blog, the store that you have, your 404 page, your About Me page, your product library. When people buy your programs, they get pointed to the library. These are all your website pages. And the cool thing about Kajabi is that you can mix and match website pages with landing pages. Now, why would you do that? Well, if we look over here at the landing pages, we get a lot more creative freedom, uh, when you do a landing page versus a website page. Already right off the bat, you don't, you have to just put in the name for your page. But if we go over to landing page, you're gonna see that first and foremost, there's an AI generation tool you can use with Kajabi where you tell it what you want the page to be about. And it'll create you something. Or you can start from scratch. You get so much more customization and templates inside of the landing pages tab. So global branding enabled. If you click view all, obviously it doesn't wanna show the actual thumbnail, but you can get different opt-in pages, streamlined video opt-in, lead gen, streamlined home. This is just like a really simple template that you can get for your homepage. All right, so those are there. But also, if you want to build a sales page, you get a bunch of different templates in here to kind of fit the vibe of your brand. Prosper is great for many different businesses, but especially if you're in more of the personal finance or finance niche as a whole, this is a really nice prebuilt template for you. And if you're going to build a sales page, I always recommend using the landing pages. But I bring this up because a lot of people will actually build their whole website just using the landing pages tab. All right. So just want to say that it's there, but I usually just keep the website really simple and just go off of the website pages. So to build out your site, we're going to go over here to design. I just kind of want to walk you through what you can do here. So this is my current website right now. I'm going to give it a facelift pretty soon because it's not the most extravagant site, but it works. Down here you'll see this tab, Browse Templates. If you don't like the normal template that it gives you, they have other website templates. Now again, these are different than landing page templates. We're not going to get too deep into landing pages, but these are really nice. This is the overall template for your overall site and there's, there's corresponding landing pages like if you wanted to use Creative, which is really cool, really colorful, lots of pop, very great for artistic courses and different programs that you might be offering. Or if you just want to have a more colorful brand, this is a really cool template to start with. And then inside the landing page, Pages, there is actually, if you go down to Sales Pages, there's a Creative Sales Page. So it's different than the website page that you're seeing here and it's all designed for sales. So it gives you the certain blocks with the different pricing options and all that kind of stuff. So if you like one of these themes, then you can pick that theme, all right? And like Prosper, same thing, but this is for the website itself. And then this is gonna be the overall theme of your site. So there's a lot of different options that you get when you're trying to build a website using Kajabi. So no matter which theme you decide to choose, it doesn't really matter. The most important thing is what your website homepage actually looks like. And then we'll kind of run through some of the different pages that you would need for your website. So inside of design, I have the Premier site. It's just the normal basic site that you get in Kajabi. And I'll hit Customize Page right here. From here you will see my website. Now I want to walk you through how Kajabi works, but also the main blocks that you would want to have on your Kajabi website. So Kajabi works in all landing pages and website pages with a section or block setup. Most tools nowadays like Teachable, Thinkific, ClickFunnels, GoHighLevel, anything like that, they all use this kind of block feature. But with Kajabi, I think it's a lot more intuitive than the other tools that I played with, so I really like it. So right here, the blocks that I'm using for my website are first a hero block, a features block, which you'll see right here, a text and image, little about me section, and then more features on different ways I can work with you, a good testimonial, and then an opt-in form. Now this is the simple way. If you're like, I don't even know what to do for my site, just model this, all right? Because think of the psychology here. Someone lands on your site, they hear about you, or they just discover you through your content, and they're like, let me go look at their website. They land on the site, right? When they land on your website, we have a job, and that is to let people know who we are, what we're helping people do, and give them a way to dive deeper with us. So that is really the goal. As soon as they land on your site, you want this heading to clearly explain who you help and what you help them do. And then the text underneath, I would recommend promoting something to get them onto your email list. And don't just say, join our email list. No. Give them something in return. So right now what we're doing, and I'm gonna be changing this eventually, is get started now by watching my free training, how to earn $2,000 per month from digital products without a big audience, paid ads, or complicated tech. So if somebody lands on my site, ProfitYourKnowledge.com, and it says turn what you know into a 6-figure coaching business, they're like, I'd love to do that, I just don't even know where to start, that sounds daunting to me, which is what everybody says. And then they see this opportunity, get started now by watching my free training. Like, yeah, that sounds great. Then they click on the free training button, or you can even add a direct form inside of here if you wanted. So we go over to the tab, hit hero. So if they think, huh, that sounds interesting, I would love to do that, they haven't even scrolled on my website and then they can click the button, it pops up a form, and then they can sign up for my email list and get access to that training. If people read this and they're like, mm, I don't know if I trust this person, or that sounds cool but not right now, then they scroll down. And then what we wanna do right here, I have some testimonials, but you wanna add some kind of credibility marker for yourself. It could be client success stories or testimonials, people praising you saying, James is awesome, or Sally's awesome. Or if you've been featured in major media outlets like entrepreneur.com, Forbes, anything like that, then you can just add a logo strip right here. So over here, it's— if features is what I did, it's what I added, and I had 3 different features in here with a picture of my client and then a little blurb of text. What you could do instead, if you wanted that logo list, is click on Add Section, and you're going to get a ton of different options to choose from. So you can go around, these are all in alphabetical order. From A to V in this case. And right here you'll see logo list. And if you're like, oh, that looks awesome, then you can click add and it's going to add it to your list. Now if we go back, we could add that logo list to the top. I could always hide my features, my features right now. And now you're going to see just the logo list. And then when you click on these, you can change it out for the logos of companies you've worked with, or publications you've been featured in, etc. All right, you don't have to delete these blocks. I have not yet been featured in anything like that, so I'm just going to stick with this list. Okay, so if people see this, they scroll, they're like, oh wow, this person's done some cool stuff. Then they scroll down again and you have a quick little About Me section. Now this is just a text and image, that's all it is. So the image is down here you can upload a new image, put in your headshot or some cool photo of you doing the work. If you're a public speaker, it could be you speaking on a stage. And then it says About Me, or you could say About James, whatever you want. But this section is just to give people a little teaser of who you are, what you've done, and why I should listen to you and trust you, basically. And then down here we have our call to action. I could add another one. but that's not necessary. And when they click on this, I can go to another page, I can go to a checkout page, I can have them download a file, I have options. So I just do go to a URL and I take them to my About Me page if they wanna learn more where I go deeper into my story and how I can help you. Next up, we have 3 different ways I can help you. This is really big. People, you know, by this time people are like, mm, this sounds interesting. Oh wow, they've worked with people or they've done some cool stuff. This person seems cool, maybe they've checked out your About Me page and then they go down again and it's like, oh, how can they help me? Well, first you can watch my free training. You can check out some in-depth courses that I offer or you could do private one-on-one coaching. Currently I'm changing up my business model so this will all be changing but the flow of the website will stay the same because this is what's gonna give people all the information they need to decide if they want to continue with you in any way or join your email list or learn from you all on one page, and that's what the homepage should really do. All right, and then there's just buttons, a little image, a little bit of text. We go over here to features just so you see. 3 different ways I can help you, the heading, etc. All right, and then down here we do another testimonial. You can see, can add— oh, that's a background image. The testimonial down here, add the image, add the text. Again, when you use landing pages, you get a lot more flexibility not just with the templates, but also the pages themselves and like how they work. It's a little bit different, but I just stuck with the simple stuff for my website. And then down below they have one more chance or call to action that you give them to join your email list. Now, why do we do that? You want people to join your list. Like, I don't care about how fancy my website looks. Sure, it's kind of cool, but people spend so much money on websites and it's, it's not the thing that's going to make or break your business, at least for like teaching and coaching people online. It is your hub. You should have a website where people can learn about you and see different ways that they can work with you. But it's not like the thing that's going to make or break your business, though you should keep it up to date and whatnot. What is going to make or break your business is how well you serve your clients, knowing who you're helping, what you're helping them do, the messaging, creating regular content or speaking on stages. And then the website is a tool to help you capture leads and join your email list and grow your audience, because that's the stuff that's actually going to make you money. All right. So we just went over the homepage right here, the main building blocks that I'd recommend that you have at least, and you could totally customize with any template you want again. But these building blocks are tried and tested and proven to work in this flow. So just follow that and design it however you want to. Now, we also have different pages to our website. So right up here you'll see home. And then when you click on that, You can view your library, your blog, your thank you page, blog search, your login page. We click on login and it's gonna automatically direct us to that website page, which is our login page. This is another hidden benefit to using website pages over landing pages is that you get this quick navigation, which I really like. And for the login page, when people go to log in for my courses, this is the page that they land on. I can change any of the text that I have here, like sign into your account. Add my logo, forgot password. I just keep this really simple. It doesn't need to be very complicated. The biggest thing I did was change the colors and added my logo. That was it. All right, but your library, you click over here. So this is the page when people pay you for a course or a program of any kind that you deliver inside of Kajabi. They are immediately, if you so choose to, gonna be pointed to this spot. This is the library, and you'll have all your different courses and programs that they can kind of peruse through and see which one they wanna jump into or whatever one they have access to. I obviously have access to all of mine, but it's for whichever one they've paid for. And you can customize this banner and the text. I'm not gonna get into all the nitty-gritty. Your 404 page is really big. If people land on a page that it doesn't, it's not working or you took the page down during a launch or anything like that, they get pointed to a 404 page. So, I just made mine kind of funny and it says, uh-oh, for the title. It appears this page does not exist. Click here to go back home. And I added a funny little GIF of John Travolta looking around like, wait, what the heck? But you can do whatever you want here. Another cool page is your store. If I go to courses and coaching and I'll show you how to update the navigation here in just a minute, people will land on this page right here, which again, I'm going to be updating. But this is kind of your store. So if you have a couple of different programs or options and ways people can work with you, let's say you have like a standalone course and then you have a paid community and then you have your private coaching. That's a really nice product line. You can have it all in here right on your website and then people can start to look into it and see when the next launch is or how they can join your program or just buy your course right off the bat. Now another page is your About Me page. So mine says Just Imagine. And the reason I did that is because something really important when you're building a website page or an About Me page is that so many people just have this huge paragraph and it's all about them. It's about how cool they are, how long they've been in business, it's a family-owned business, or whatever you wanna say. The biggest thing that I can tell you about an About Me page is that it is not about us. Our business exists for one reason, and that is to serve our audience and serve our clients. Businesses are about solving people's problems, so if somebody lands on your About Me page, yeah, they wanna learn a little bit about you, but not everything about you. They just wanna know, can I trust you? Is this person someone credible that I can relate to, that I resonate with? Like, that's what they care about because they're thinking, can you help me solve my problem? That's it. So don't make your About Me page about you. Instead, flip it and make it about them and keep it about 20 to 30% about you and 70 to 80% about how you can help them. So instead of me just talking about how amazing I am, I say, just imagine waking up in the morning not to an alarm clock or your boss calling, but to notifications of money being made while you were sleeping. Okay, so I'm talking, I'm painting this picture of like what your life could be like. And then I say, hey, I'm James, founder of Profit Your Knowledge. This is what I do. This is a little bit about my story. And then I go straight back into how that story and experience actually serves you. And the rest of this About Me page is just talking about them rather than just me. And then at the bottom, You want to make sure that on every main website page, there is some way for people to click a button or fill out a form to join your email list. Now, the other core page is going to be your blog. Whether you're into blogging or not, I still think that you should be publishing content on your website because what happens is people check out the, the website and then they see a tab that says blog, or free content is what I changed it to, and this gives people a chance to look at your content and get a feel for you to again feel like, can I trust this person? Does this person seem like they could actually help me? And then always make sure that there is a way for them to click a button to sign in to some kind of form. So the next thing I want to show you is setting up and fixing your navigation or adjusting it however you want. So when you go over to the Kajabi dashboard under website, you'll see navigation right here. And then from here, you'll have your main menu, your footer, your member menu. You can get a bunch of different types of navigations, just keep it simple. All right, so you have your About Me page. I'd recommend having your blog or free content at the top. I just said free content 'cause I think that's, it's just a bit more clear and straightforward. Courses and coaching, or you can say programs if you'd like, and then contact. So all you have to do is just When you go in here, you're gonna have a couple generic ones when it's new in Kajabi, but you'll click Add and then you can add a page, or I like to add a link and then enter the title, which is what they're gonna see at the top. So you can call these whatever you want. You could say Courses and Coaching, you could just say Online Courses or Programs if you have a ton of online courses, and then your membership site is something totally different. You can do whatever you want, and then you can link to whatever website page you have. So if you wanted to point people over to one specific sales page, you would just get the link to that sales page, plug it in here, and say like, join the next events. Or if it's like a work with you page and then you have a whole sales page devoted to applying to work with you privately, that's all you do is just put in the title that you want people to see and then add in the link that points over to whatever the page is inside of Kajabi or even outside of Kajabi as as well. It could literally be any kind of link. And then down here you can choose if you want this to be visible to logged-in users only. I am not going to do that. You could hit save. I'm just going to hit cancel. Don't worry about the new navigation menu. You don't have to do that. Just stick with the basics right here and you'll be good. Now the biggest thing with building a website in Kajabi or any other tool that you want to use is that these tools do work pretty simply. I hope you can see with the blocks that You know, when you have somebody guide you through it, it does make it a bit more simplified. But one of the biggest things that I've hit home multiple times throughout this video is that every single page on your website should point people to some kind of call to action to join your email list. But you don't want to just say join our newsletter or sign up for our email list. Like, nobody cares about that. People want you to solve their problems, but you got to give them something juicy. And to do that, we need to have a really good lead magnet. So if you watch this video next, I will show you how to create a lead magnet that actually makes you money and converts. Without a great lead magnet, your website just becomes an expensive and pretty place that exists on the internet, but the lead magnet is what makes your website functional. If you have any questions, let me know in a comment below, and if this video was helpful, please like and share it. As always, take what you learned here, get out there, make something happen. I'll see you in the next one.
