Kajabi Tutorial: Building a Marketing Pipeline

James Allen shows how to build marketing funnels in Kajabi using the Pipelines feature. He walks through creating a new pipeline from templates like Sales OVO and Freebie, which automatically generate opt-in pages, thank-you pages, and email sequences. The basic plan limits you to three pipelines, but you can consolidate steps within one.

What if you could build an entire marketing funnel with one click? Well, inside Kajabi you can, but it's not called a funnel. Instead, they call it a pipeline, but it's the same thing. It's a sequential flow that allows you to capture leads and turn them into buyers. And inside of Kajabi, there are many different types of pipelines that I'm gonna show you today so that you can get a better inside look at the program. Now, before we get into that, if you are interested in trying out Kajabi just to test the waters and see what it's all about, I wanna give you a free 30-day trial. Whereas if you went through Kajabi on their main website, but you would only get 14 days. So if you use my link, which is an affiliate link by the way, you will get double the amount of time to play with the program. And to help you get the most out of that 30-day trial, I'm gonna give you instant access to my Kajabi Kickstart program. I'm gonna walk you through how to build your website, build a lead magnet, a sales page, even your first mini course. And then what we're gonna do is create a system inside the program that allows you to sell that information or that mini course on autopilot. And it's the same system that you can take and you can create a full-blown course with as well. I've been using Kajabi around 2 years at this point. It took me a long time to understand the software, different automations and cool tricks and tweaks that you can do inside of it. The Kajabi Kickstart Program is the course that I wish I had when I first started using Kajabi because I could have like really started my online business way faster. And I want to give that to you for using my link. Now if you fall in love with Kajabi much like I have in that first 30 days using the Kajabi Kickstart Program and you decide to sign up through my link, I'm gonna give you a free 45-minute coaching call with me. All you have to do is is send me your receipt so that I have proof that you actually did sign up. What we'll do on that call is go over everything that you built inside the Kajabi Kickstart program, and I will give you personalized coaching on little tweaks that you can make. We'll go over your sales copy, your sales page, the flow. We'll go over your emails, your website, everything. As I mentioned, it is an affiliate link, but whether you sign up through my link or through just Kajabi's website, it's gonna be the same payment for you regardless. There's no additional cost for using my link. I just get a small percentage of whatever your investment is, so you can consider it a way to support this channel. To get instant access to your free 30-day trial and the Kajabi Kickstart program, just go to profityourknowledge.com/kajabi, or there's a link in the description as well.
Okay, so this is Kajabi pipelines. These are again essentially funnels. They just call them pipelines in Kajabi, but it works the same exact way. This is one that I made a little while ago when I was kind of playing around with it, but this essentially is what's called a squeeze page. And really what it means is that they have— the visitor has two options. They can either give you their email and download the guide, or they can leave. Okay, so you want this to be as intriguing as possible for someone related to your niche. Okay, but this is like the start of one of these pipelines. Now if we go back over here, first and foremost, to find the pipeline section inside Kajabi, you just go down the navigation section and hit Pipelines right here inside of the Marketing tab. Once you're there, we can actually start building out a pipeline. To do that, we just go over here to New Pipeline. From here, you'll have a couple different options on what type of pipeline you would like to build. I'd say if you're just getting started, go with the freebie, which is that one that I had made before. That's why it was called freebie. What this is, is actually if you click on it, you'll be able to see it gives you a little a little overview of what this looks like. And basically, when you click Create Pipeline, it's gonna build this whole sequence out. So it'll build you that opt-in page, which is this. Essentially, this is just a fully built one. It's gonna create an email for you saying thank you for opting in, you know, or it can say maybe, maybe when they opt in, it goes and to a thank you page. And then automatically sends them this email, whoever put in their email. And inside this email, it says that we've given you your download or access to your workshop or whatever, which is that lead magnet. And anytime you click on one of these pipelines, you can go down, it will actually play you just a short video of what you can do, what's inside of it, and that's the owner of Kajabi who delivers these, which is pretty cool. So that's a freebie. The next one over is the sales OVO. If you see OVO, It's because of Brendan Burchard, he came up with that. He was like one of the early members in Kajabi. Also, it's Brendan Burchard, you know. But OVO stands for opt-in, value, offer. Okay, so anytime you see these, it's essentially a sales funnel is really what it is, because offer. So okay, so they're gonna opt in, they're all gonna have an opt-in page. Then the middle for like a free book is gonna be a bit different compared to a coaching campaign or a Zoom webinar. Or a sales page or product launch, but that's gonna be the value really, and they're all gonna end in some sort of offer that leads to a checkout page, okay? So obviously a book, for example, would be opt-in to get, you know, the first 2 chapters of my book and pre-order my book. And if we click on freebie book, it'll go opt-in, checkout, and then, oh, this is kind of interesting, it shows you 10 emails. So what's cool too is that you don't have to have a book. Or have some sort of book in order to, in order to like actually use this pipeline. So it's going to give you the opt-in, and then it's going to go straight to a checkout page. Because essentially what's happening here is like, it makes sense for a book, is that you can opt in, do a checkout to maybe preorder the book you could do, or to create an account you could even do. And then it's going to initiate those 10 emails as well. Okay, the product launch OVO is a lot more in-depth. As you can see, it's going to give you that opt-in, 10 emails, and it doesn't have to be 10 emails all at once or anything like that. You can actually create a sequence, which is— this is really a sequence that it's creating for you when you click create pipeline. And a sequence is essentially just a number of emails, so in this case 10, that you can connect and you can send out on various different days. For example, if they opt in, they're gonna get one of these emails the moment that they opt in, offering them or delivering something of value to them. And then the next day will be the second email, the day after that will be the third email, so on and so forth. And because this is a product launch, it's gonna be hyping up your product ultimately. But the way that this works is as soon as they opt in, it's gonna initiate this email sequence and it's simultaneously As this initiates, they're also gonna be taken to the first value page. The point of the value page is to just teach them something valuable, you know, that they can use that day. It could be a video ideally, or it can be text as well. And then the next day it's gonna take them to another page, and you can add like how you want all of this to work and like the days and all of that kind of stuff. But again, it's just an overview of what is inside with a video. The sales page OVO is really straightforward. It's gonna be just an opt-in, initiate an 8-day email sequence, send them to a sales page where they can check out your product or whatever it is, and if they decide to buy, it'll take them to a checkout page. Okay, the Zoom webinar is pretty interesting. See, it's a bit different, but there's registration, confirmation, 4 emails, and these are basically just reminding people, hyping people up to actually attend the event and get ready for the event. Then it's gonna automatically create a Zoom webinar for you that you can just show up and do. It's gonna create the link for you and everything and create a whole event for you. Then it's gonna have another set of 5 emails after the event's been done, which ultimately are going to send them to a sales page where they can check out. Coaching campaign, pretty straightforward, just go straight to a sales page. 3 emails that they're gonna get and then thank you. And then you can scroll down, just do a simple sales page, which is just going to be a sales page straight to checkout. They don't even have a video because they want to keep it simple. And then down here we're going to have legacy pipelines, which are older versions of the same pipelines up here. Basically they're just going to be a little bit different, like promotional offer, sales page. I like that Kajabi kept these because sometimes it's fun just to go to the basics, a virtual summit. So there's a little bit of different kind of feels like if you click free report, it's essentially the same thing as the freebie. It's just there's no email that they're gonna get. It just email captures straight to a thank-you page. Okay, so when you use Kajabi, you can go around, you can kind of play with what makes sense for you. Again, if you're just getting started, I say just use the freebie for now just so you could start capturing leads. Now I mentioned before that this was an already built-out freebie page that I created, or pipeline. So if we click on this, you can kind of see what the inside of a pipeline looks like from inside Kajabi. When you go in here, depending on the pipeline you created, you're— that's exactly what you're going to see. Now, even though I click— this is the freebie pipeline that we talked about before. I created the squeeze page in here, and I can add a page. You can click over here, and that's going to allow you to actually adjust the form or create the form. From inside of the pipeline, which is really nice. And then you can change out this however you want to name it. I would obviously name it based on your lead magnet or the purpose as well. Like it says here, live event signups March 2015. Okay, but yeah, I can always add a new page if I wanted to. I can create a new landing page, or I can choose from an existing landing page that I already have as well. And then yeah, this automatically generates this thank you page, but even if you didn't want to use it you could always just remove that as well. So even if you did choose, you know, the freebie pipeline or the sales OVO pipeline, you still have full control over what happens in the pipeline and the layout of it. If you want to add things, if you want to take things away, it's totally customizable. And then if you scroll down, it says add page, there's a thank you, and then down here it says add page again. So after that thank you page, you can even send them to another page if you wanted to as well. Or you can add an offer too. So you could add a sales page here and then you can add an offer. Now what is cool is that I mentioned if you're just kind of starting out, you could use the freebie pipeline to just kind of get started. So you could start capturing leads, it's gonna give them that opt-in like this where they can put in their email, download the guide, and then it's gonna go into the thank you page. It's like, hey, thank you. It'll send them an email as well, just delivering whatever that guide or that freebie was. But let's say down the road you say, okay, well, I wanna build out my sales page. You can always go down here, add an offer, and you can add a page as well, which could be the sales page. So you continuously keep adding to this pipeline over time, and it could be the one pipeline that you have because depending on the plan that you choose in Kajabi, you are limited to a certain amount of pipelines. I think with the very basic, the entry-level plan, which is about $150 a month, you only get 3 pipelines. So this is a great workaround for you if you are running out of pipelines. You could just keep adding to one of the pipelines. Now also, inside of a pipeline, you can copy the link if you want to send someone straight to this top squeeze page. So if I copy this link, sent it over to you, and you clicked on it, you would get sent straight to this page, and this is what it would look like for you. And then it would just take you through all the different steps that I have inside of my pipeline. You can also check your stats and see how this pipeline is doing. Okay, so download your 5-step guide, it goes to a thank you page. It'll show you your total revenue, your conversion rate, and the revenue per view as well. So it's always good to stay on top of your statistics.
Now, Kajabi isn't just a funnel builder. You can actually build an entire website with a blog and everything inside of Kajabi. But there is strategy in building an effective website, which is exactly what I show you in this video right here. Remember Remember to take advantage of your free Kajabi 30-day trial along with the Kajabi Kickstart program. That way you can get the most out of that free trial.
I'll see you in the next one.
