Kajabi vs ClickFunnels: Which is the Best Online Course Platform?

ClickFunnels recently upgraded their software to ClickFunnels 2.0, and I gotta say, it's a bit of a contender against Kajabi. But is it better or worse than Kajabi? Today we're gonna find out. I'm gonna deep dive into the pricing plans of both Kajabi and ClickFunnels 2.0 to see what the different features are, see the pricing differences, and then we're gonna dive into the actual dashboard of each one so you can see what the look and feel of it is. And together we will decide which one is a better tool for you your business. So let's dive into the pricing plans and what's included with both Kajabi and ClickFunnels 2.0. Starting with Kajabi, we have Basic, Growth, and Pro plans ranging from $150, $200, and $400 per month. This is not on the annual plan. Everything I'm gonna be showing you is just on the monthly plan, okay? You can do a free trial here, you get zero transaction fees, you get 3 products, 15 products, or 100 products depending on the plan you're on. Now, before you say, oh, that's ridiculous, I only get 3 products, you can do a lot with 3 products, just FYI. Some companies will say you get unlimited products, and it's like, wow, that's really cool not to have limitations, but unlimited products doesn't necessarily serve you, 'cause you can just get in the habit of just building more products, And it's, it's actually kind of nice to have a limit on products because I feel it forces you to make better products instead of building a bunch of like $17 products. You can have a lower priced like a mini course, a medium tier like a flagship course, and then a high ticket like your coaching program. And just those 3 things with new leads coming into your business can give you a ridiculous amount of business growth. And if you decide, you know, after you Even with just those 3 products, you'll end up crushing it on the basic plan that you could then upgrade to get $15, or 15 programs, products, if you will. But I think Kajabi's smart in terms of this, where they're not just saying you get unlimited, 'cause I'm sure they could do that, you know, but they'd rather focus on other aspects than just the products and the amount of products that you can have. Plus the products you build in Kajabi just look and feel great with the different themes that they have. But this is a really nice feature, 0% transaction fees. You know, a lot of places like Teachable, they freaking ream you on different transaction fees and stuff like that on their quote unquote free plan. It's not really free. I did a whole video about that too. But today's about ClickFunnels and Kajabi. The funnels that you get in Kajabi, 3, 15, or 100, just like the products, they match that. Unlimited landing pages. What's cool is that you can actually build landing pages. They have opt-in pages, sales pages, all different types of pages, and I've done videos on that as well. You can link the pages together and turn them into a funnel, basically. So even if you did reach your funnel limit in Kajabi, you can just build out your funnel, quote-unquote, pages and link them all together and create more funnels. It's really easy. Unlimited marketing emails, okay, very cool, on all plans. Contacts— this is like your email subscribers, I believe, are the contacts, is what the words that they use. But you get 10,000 $25,000 or $100,000. It may seem limiting again, but 10,000 people is, it's a pretty significant audience. Imagine if you spoke on a stage in front of 10,000 people, how would that feel? If you can build a great relationship on your email list with 10,000 people, you're basically speaking on a stage and promoting that in front of 10,000 people and you're scrubbing your list, keeping it clean and tidy, but 10,000 people is a lot of people. Imagine if everybody, you know, paid you $1 a month. Then you're making $10,000 a month off of a $1 product. I don't recommend that, but it's just the idea behind it, okay? It is a significant amount of people. Active customers, this is like the actual people enrolled in your course, 1,000, 10,000, 20,000. Websites, 1, you can do 3 at the top level. Honestly, if you're like getting started with Kajabi or just building your business and you're considering this, just go with the Basic or Growth. The Pro plan is totally unnecessary. You can do more than enough with the basic and growth plan, um, as long as you know what you're doing. I'm on the growth plan, okay? And that's the one I like. Advanced automations, ability to remove the Kajabi branding. That was a big thing of what I wanted to do on the growth plan. Also the advanced automations and the 24/7 chat support. Very, very helpful when I'm struggling with Kajabi. If I, you know, ever have something, I'm like, I don't know what to do, especially when I was first starting, like setting things up. They were there for me 24/7 all the time. And they made my life easier. I just give them my credentials and they're like, let me figure it out and I'll do it for you. And I'm like, you guys are amazing, this is awesome. Okay, need more, you can always talk to sales and upgrade if you need more if you're on the Pro plan. One thing that's really cool about Kajabi is that your success really is their number one priority. And when you're a Kajabi member, you can really feel that. Like they genuinely care about you and they do a great job at this. 24/7 support, awesome, it's there for you and it's great. This is a big thing, the vibrant community. And then the Kajabi University, they give you tons of courses from other creators who are super successful, but also just courses inside Kajabi on how to use the platform yourself. The community's probably the biggest one, okay, and I'll touch on that in just a second. Let's take a look at ClickFunnels 2.0 pricing plans. This is the monthly pricing plans. Basically the same thing. If you look at this, the basic $150 a month, $150 a month, $200, $200 a month, or $300 a month, and then you have the, the $400. Okay, so you're basically paying the same price, but what's included? Look, 20 funnels. Okay, that's a bit more. You get 3 funnels with Kajabi, but again, less is more as long as you're strategic and you're smart about the funnels that you're building. Okay, you don't need just more stuff doesn't mean that you're gonna be more successful. Okay, I just want you to know that. You need a website, 3 courses, okay, very same thing, 3 products, those are your courses, 10,000 contacts, same thing, okay, unlimited work or products, I don't know what products are versus courses, I don't really get that, okay, yeah, that's kind of interesting because products in Kajabi are just any course or anything that you create. Anything you're gonna sell, the actual product alone, course or coaching program, whatever. Unlimited email sequence, basic analytics, okay, and then over here you get 100 funnels, wow, a lot, 3 domains, 15 courses, 10,000 students, 25,000 contacts. That's the same stuff here, okay, 10,000, 25,000, 15,000, okay, and then 200 courses, that's insane. Why do you need 200 courses? I just, I don't get it, okay, but You know, it's intriguing. That's all I'm going to say. You're basically getting the same thing for essentially the same price with ClickFunnels. Here's what's included inside of it. You get your own blog. You can do that in Kajabi. CRM, that's in Kajabi. It's coming soon because they're updating this. ClickFunnels 2.0 came out in like October of 2022, so it's pretty new. But honestly, ClickFunnels 2.0 is very, very— as you can see, it's very similar to Kajabi. 'Kay, and we'll dive into the dashboard in just a second so you can see what it actually looks like inside, but they upgraded to ClickFunnels 2.0 and added all this stuff to be an all-in-one platform, and Kajabi's been doing that for years, for a very long time, and they are the pioneers in that. That's why all these other companies like Kartra, Thinkific, Teachable, they're trying to compete with Kajabi because Kajabi was one of the pioneers. They were the pioneer. And they've just been crushing it, the all-in-one idea to run your business with everything on one server. Okay, so more and more people are following Kajabi's lead, which is a big reason why I respect and love Kajabi. ClickFunnels 2.0 is great though. I love Russell Brunson, the whole mission, everything, you know, his books, Expert Secrets is like one of my favorite books that I read. So yeah, really, really great. But yeah, basically you're getting the same stuff, landing pages, workflows, these are just like, automating your marketing. Those are like your funnels, I'm assuming. But you get email marketing, online courses, websites, okay, different products. So let's take a look inside of the Kajabi dashboard. Oh, one thing I did want to touch on actually was that ClickFunnels, their Facebook group, remember I talked about down here the vibrant community. When you sign up for Kajabi, you are paying to use Kajabi, and when you're paying to use this platform for, you know, $100 couple hundred dollars per month or $150 a month, you get access to their private Facebook group. The Facebook group is incredible. ClickFunnels, a downside to it and just the community as a whole is that there's so many people using ClickFunnels, which is awesome, but the ClickFunnels group is free. So the Kajabi group you can only be in if you're paying for Kajabi, which just be— a paid versus a free group, significantly different. And ClickFunnels group is notorious for having people just like spam it and do a bunch of crazy stuff because it's free. Anybody can join it. There's a lot of people creating content and stuff. A lot of marketers go in there and are fishing for clients. Kajabi is like, they don't take no shit. Like they are adamant about providing a great community and you have to pay to actually be in the community. So that's a big separator, just something to consider, okay? But if you have a question about Kajabi and maybe you're having trouble trouble getting it answered from Kajabi inside the dashboard, go inside the community. There are people who nerd out on Kajabi, me being one of them, and they want to help. If you ask a question, you will get a wall of answers to support you in seconds, or at least in a minute, I guarantee. Okay, so something else to consider about community. But yeah, let's dive into the dashboard of each one. So we have Kajabi and ClickFunnels, very similar as you can see right here. This is the partners program. It's not my actual Kajabi account because I just have like some private information, that kind of stuff, on my actual Kajabi account. So this is my partners program. ClickFunnels right here, this shows you their sales, leads. The dashboard for Kajabi does look very much the same. It's gonna look different on the partners one. I can just show you real quick. You know, it looks way different on the partners because it's, it's for partners, affiliate program. Okay, in here we have our site, our funnels, products, orders, contacts, analytics, marketing, sales, payments, and whatnot. Okay, Kajabi, you have your products. They have all your different products in here. Sales, you can do like coupons, payments, affiliates. Your website, this is where you can have all of your pages. These are like your landing pages and everything. And again, you get unlimited landing pages on every Kajabi account, very much like ClickFunnels as well. So even if you hit your funnel quote-unquote limit, you can still build sales pages and link them together, and then you have another funnel basically. Okay, and then we have marketing. This is like your email marketing. Your website has your blog, funnels. The difference with the funnel and just landing pages, by the way, is that when you build a funnel, it builds out all your landing pages and forms and checkout pages and everything and automatically puts it all together. So if you were going to build landing pages and checkout pages and whatnot and connect them together as a funnel. You just have to kinda know like what goes where and then you can basically have unlimited funnels, okay? Just comes with practice using it. But yeah, forms, events, contacts, and then the analytics. So ClickFunnels said that when you get on their like top level, you get advanced analytics. It doesn't show me 'cause I just signed up for this. I've never actually been in the new ClickFunnels. but I'm kinda curious what advanced analytics means. With Kajabi, you just have regular analytics. There's not basic or advanced. Analytics are great though. You have to know kinda what's working, what's not working in your business, and I think Kajabi, between like the email marketing analytics and just the regular analytics, you get everything you need to know about what's working or what's not working in your business. Okay, so you have your net revenue, you can do over the course of a certain amount of days, month, years. All time, whatever you want, subscription metrics, page views, opt-ins, progress, offers sold. I mean, really there's 3 metrics we should really pay attention to, and that's like the traffic that we're getting, the opt-ins from that traffic, and the amount of products that we're selling, okay? And your revenue, obviously. But just like traffic, opt-ins, and sales. That's all we really need to know to address the health of our business. And then that, like that, Marketing, email, opt-ins and analytics and all that kind of stuff, super helpful as well. You go over to report and you can get subscribers delivered, what's opened, unsubscribed, hard bounce, clicked, that's all you really need to know, okay. But yeah, I mean really you're just, you're getting basically the same product. I think the biggest differentiator in this whole thing between ClickFunnels 2.0 and Kajabi is that you have to give them a shot. You have to try them out. Much respect to ClickFunnels 2.0 for upgrading their system to provide more of the all-in-one feel, It really comes down to, you know, the, which one you like. That's really it. If you sign up for Kajabi, you try it out, and you're like, this is awesome, it works for me, I like the way it feels, it makes sense to me, I can see how I can grow my business with this, awesome. But if you try Kajabi and you're like, this isn't it, but ClickFunnels makes sense to you, then roll with ClickFunnels. It doesn't matter. The bottom line is that you use one of these tools because they are awesome, They're a bit more per month than other tools, but they also give you a lot more so you can be more successful. And having everything in one software, whether it is Kajabi or ClickFunnels 2.0, they both do it. You know, you— it keeps things simple, everything works together smoother. And yeah, it's really just something that you have to try and play with the interface and see which one makes sense to you, which, if you build out a product even just like a dummy product, which one looks better to you?
