Mastering Kajabi Analytics: Boost Your Online Business

James Allen walks through Kajabi's analytics suite, showing eight report types: net revenue, subscription metrics, opt-ins, page views, product progress, offers sold, affiliates, and email marketing. He explains how to use each to spot refund problems, improve email performance, and identify where customers drop off in courses.

To access your analytics in Kajabi, we're gonna go down to the analytics tab. When you click on that, it's gonna take you over to this page and you will have a bunch of different options to dive deeper into. Now we're in my partners tab, this is not my actual business tab. I just have some private information with like my analytics and that kind of stuff. So I'm just gonna show you this, it still shows you everything that you need to know so you can decide if you wanna dive into Kajabi as well. Right here at the top, they just give you a really brief overview of the amount of purchases in the last 30 days, the amount of net revenue you've made in the last 30 days, and then your all-time net revenue as well. And then they'll show you recent transactions, so it's just like a list of like this person paid for this product, this person paid for this one, and there's a running list. Obviously, 'cause it's in my partners tab, this doesn't actually process payments, so there's no activity in it right now. Over here, We're gonna kinda jump through each one of these so you can see a little dive of it. We have net revenue, so we'll click on that, and that's gonna pop up this chart. As you can see just by me hovering over it, it'll show you the different days. You get your gross revenue, refunds, net revenue, and then purchases, and at the top you can decide automatically it's on the last 30 days, but you can click on that, you can customize the timeframe if it's just over the course of 2 or 3 days, or you can do the last 7 days, 30, the last month, uh, this whole month. You can do last 3 months, last 6 months, last year, and then just hit apply and it will give you everything you need to know. You can also compare offers and click net revenue as well. And in each one of the analytics sections that we're in, like for example right now we're with net revenue, you can always print out all your information and data, or you can export that file as well if you ever need to do that. If we scroll down, it'll show you your all-time net revenue and then revenue by offer. So depending on how many offers you create, it'll show you the list of the most popular ones you have right here, and then it will actually give you a little pie chart as well and show you which one is performing better so you can do a little bit of a split test. And it also shows your refunds by offer as well, so you can see which one's getting the most refunds, and then you can decide, oh, maybe I should go dive into that offer because it's getting a lot of refunds, there's a problem there. Down at the bottom we have start date, payments, revenue, refunds, and offers. Just gives you a full rundown over the last 30 days of this specific offer or different offers that you have, okay? And you can decide if you want to do just PayPal payments or just Stripe payments, or you can do— you can even select the different offers as well if you want to just focus on one specific offer and see how it's been performing over a certain period of time. We'll go back to our analytics, and then we have subscription metrics. When you click on that, if you're thinking about running a membership site of some kind in Kajabi, this is where you're probably gonna spend a bit of time. So again, you can print, you can export, you can check the time, the day, week, month, the time span of this. You have your MRR, which is your monthly recurring revenue, your average revenue per user, your churn rate. And then the forecast too. So basically takes all the information that you've been accumulating over however long you've had this membership or the subscription, and it's going to basically just determine based on how things have been going what the next month or months are going to be like for you. Right here it says 6-month monthly recurring revenue forecast. So it's going to predict that for you, and you can kind of decide what changes you need to make from there. Course down here, start date, the gross MRR, coupon discounts if you want those, ARPU, active subscriptions, new subscriptions. You can just get a full rundown right down here as well. Okay, all the information you need for subscription metrics. And then we can go back to analytics. Next we have opt-ins. So we'll click on opt-ins. And right here it just shows you what kind of opt-ins you've been getting. Of course, everything else is the same. Just like the offers, it shows you the opt-in form submission. So if you have, let's say, 2 different lead magnets, you can do a split test and see which one is performing better. And it would give you, of course, the pie chart. And if you have your landing page where it's like a squeeze page where people put in their email address, it'll show you that right here. Also, like, how many people are actually landing on the landing page and then opting in from that page. And we have the full rundown down here as well. Then we have page views. This is really helpful. It shows a bit of a mix of colors here. If you hover over it, it shows views or unique views as well. If you're getting completely new people landing on your website pages or your landing pages or sales page, whatever it is. So when you scroll down, it'll say landing pages by views, offers by views, if it's like a sales page that you have, and then website pages by views. So your website pages are what your actual website looks like, and then the landing pages are standalone pages like an opt-in page or a sales page, for example. So those are gonna be your different landing pages that you can see all the data for, and again, it will tell you these on this list right here, and then it shows you the pie chart as well to show you which one is getting the most traffic. Go back to analytics, and then we have product progress. So this is a cool little thing. We can decide which products we wanna search for. I have a handful, just as small examples. We'll click on my sweet mini course, confirm it. There's no data yet 'cause no one's inside of this. It's in my partner's program, but it will, you can click on different segments. You can search a different customer, customer email. Another way to see separate contacts or customers progress inside of courses is if you look for them inside of your contacts tab. You can just search for their name, or you can even do it here as well. There's a couple different ways to get the same data. And then you can see where people are stopping in your course. Maybe you want to change up the look and feel. Maybe a certain module gets people stuck, or maybe you want to add some sort of quiz or assessment into that course to make sure that people progress further into your course. And then we have offers sold as well. So very much like pages, offers sold or first purchases is what the colors are going to distinguish for us. If someone's brand new, their very first purchase, or offers sold could be people who've been existing customers that end up paying for a different product. Okay, same thing, full rundown down on the bottom. We'll go back to analytics. And then we have affiliates as our last option. But in this tab, you'll be able to see all the different affiliates' names, the email, and you can see how different affiliates are performing and who's outperforming who. And then you can decide like the top 3 people or the top 5 people that are doing really well in your affiliate program that are selling your products and being affiliates for you. You can decide that you wanna, you know, send them some cool rewards or something like that to just give them an extra thank you for promoting your products. So all this information gives you really everything that you need to know about the health of your business, but we do have a couple more analytics that I did wanna show you that are not mentioned here, and that's inside of the marketing tab. So email marketing should be a big part of your business, you know, having an email list, sending out emails, et cetera. But we have some really nice analytics to distinguish how different email broadcasts and sequences are performing. So if I click on this one, for example, we can go over to report, and this report tab is on any email that you send, whether it's an email broadcast or an email sequence that everybody gets subscribed to. And it'll show you how many subscribers are in that email sequence, how many of these emails got delivered, how many got opened, and the percentages, how many people unsubscribed, how many bounces you got, how many people actually clicked on it. And down here it'll show you the different percentages. So if you have an email sequence like this where it's the course of 3 days, people read the first one, but by the second one everybody's unsubscribing, a bunch of people are, then you know that there's probably something wrong with that. If you've been getting enough traffic anyway, you've given it enough of a chance to kind of prove itself. But if everybody's unsubscribing that lands on it, then there's probably something wrong with that email. And then you can go through, change it up, and make it a better email sequence and really look at your data inside of this report tab. So it's a really helpful extra analytic that is not inside of the actual analytics tab. So let me know what you like or what you dislike about Kajabi analytics down in a comment below. I'd love to hear your thoughts. I hope this was helpful and insightful for you. I will see you in the next one.
