Raele Altano shows how to answer "How are you?" with a specific detail instead of just "good." Mention something like excitement about the venue or your kids wanting to play. It gives the other person an opening to ask follow-up questions and helps them know you better.

Okay, quick example for you for this, offering one extra detail in conversation and small talk when someone asks about you or how you are. So if someone asks you, how are you? And instead of you saying, good, and just leaving it at that, you can say, great, excited to be here. This space looks beautiful. And that could lead the other person to say, oh yeah, have you ever been to this space or this venue before? Or let's say you're taking your kids somewhere to play and you say, great, the kids were really excited to get out of the house today and play. And that gives the other person something else to work with, something else that they could possibly ask you. If they are good at conversing too. You're not oversharing, you're not offering overly personal info, but you're giving a little something else other than just, good, how about you? And you don't have to do this all the time, every single time someone asks you a question. That would be unnatural. But find pockets where you can create these bids for connection and give the other person something else to keep the conversation going. It's more fun to talk to someone like that, and it's a great way for them to get to know you. You got this.
