Raele Altano, an eldest daughter and overachiever, talks about her burnout from constantly producing content and why taking a real break won't kill your audience or income. Rest isn't failure. It stops the wasteful spinning and protects your long-term work.

I hate saying this more than anyone as an eldest daughter and as a Virgo, but sometimes you just need to take a pause. You just have to stop. You have to allow yourself to recalibrate. You have to allow your body to rest. You have to allow your brain to catch up to whatever it is you wanna do next. You just gotta chill. Just take a step and a beat and a break. There's so much content out there about, oh, you gotta keep going, you gotta keep making content. You know, if you miss a beat or if you stop, then it gets harder to start, which there is some truth to that, but Sometimes the best thing you can do for yourself is just take a pause, take a beat, just think about what it is that you wanna say and do next before just spinning your wheels and doing the thing half correctly, half not, and not even knowing what you're saying or doing, and it just not even making real sense. Do you know what I mean? And this is coming from someone who has overdelivered her entire life, who has been go, go, go, don't stop, keep going, keep pushing, and is now recovering from burnout. Basically. So if you need a pause, if you need a break, take the pause. The content will be there. The audience will be there. The viral videos will be there. The money will be there. Take that break if you need it. There's more value in it than spinning your wheels for no reason and just burning yourself out even more.
