1 million subscribers. Thank you for being here. Thank you for watching my YouTube videos. I don't know whether you just joined me a week ago or you've been here for 15 years. This channel has grown a lot, and I want to take a second to thank all of you for helping us grow. 16 years ago, I posted my first video on YouTube, and I did it for one reason. I was sick of people mispronouncing my name. You'll notice that every single video back then had my name. I'm Ramit Sethi and blah, blah, blah. As soon as I posted these videos, people started pronouncing my name correctly. So mission accomplished. One of the best decisions I ever made. I left those videos up on purpose because I want people to see what it looks like to start something. Back then, the camera I was using was horrible. My hair was a mess. The way I spoke was not that smooth, but the messages are the same messages today, 16 years later. I was talking about buying versus renting then. I'm talking about the same thing now. Long-term investing, spending money on the things that you love. Since then, I upgraded my camera. I wear nicer clothes. The videos look more polished, and I have this amazing team for YouTube. But none of that matters when you are starting. What matters is having a strong point of view. It's the rarest thing in the universe. And being willing to practice over and over again. I leave those videos up, they are still up on my channel, so you can go back in time and see what it really looks like to start and how far you can go if you just keep going. Whether it's your first time working out, whether you're learning how to speak Spanish, or you're starting a business, this channel is here to help you build your rich life. After years of posting on YouTube, I actually just stopped. I don't even remember why. I just stopped posting and I let the channel sit dormant for about 10 years. And recently we picked it up like 3 or so years ago and we got better and better. I had a team. They were helping teach me how YouTube works. I realized, damn, this whole channel is very sophisticated. And something crazy happened about a year and a half ago. I'd be walking around, people would come up to me and they would say, you're my favorite YouTuber. I was like, YouTuber? That shocked me cuz I didn't think of myself as a YouTuber. I'm an author, I'm a CEO, but YouTuber? I realized that people get their information the way they want to. Like maybe you wanna read my book, maybe you saw me on Netflix. Some people are never gonna find those things. They are just on YouTube. They see me on their feed and personally that is awesome. My channel is a way for me to meet you where you are. To read every single comment that comes in, and I do, and to tell you how much I appreciate you. Reading these comments especially is one of my favorite things to do. The first thing I do in the morning is look at my YouTube comments. It helps me stay in touch with what you are talking about, and I really appreciate every time you watch one of my videos, and especially when you leave a comment. I see comments saying, I'm afraid my 401(k) is going to crash. Why are groceries so expensive? It's impossible to negotiate rent. I just saw people saying that. No, it's not. You can do it. I want to stay as close as possible to what you care about. That's why I read the comments. I don't want to live in some ivory tower. I fight against it every day. I want to thank you for watching the videos, and I want to thank my YouTube team for doing an amazing job helping us grow this channel and coming up with amazing videos every single week. YouTube is now one of the fastest growing parts of my business, and we are working on creating even more videos. And new series for you, but you're gonna have to talk to my YouTube team about what's coming. Thanks so much everyone, and on to 2 million subscribers next.
