I want to tell you how this played out in my own Life, Part 2. How I Went from the subway to business class. When I was in my early 20s, I had to take the subway because that's what I could afford. But my dream always was, man, when it's August and it is sweltering down there, maybe, maybe, just maybe, I can splurge for a cab or a lift. That was luxury to me. And eventually, when I made enough I could do that. Later, I upgraded to a car service at the airport. At the airport, of course, I discovered lounges. Suddenly there's wifi and food and a quiet place to sit for flights. I used to take coach. That's the only way I traveled. That's the only way I could afford to do it. But I decided after a certain amount, I'm going to fly business class. In fact, I made a rule for myself. Any flight over four hours, business class. I'm not even thinking about it now. These upgrades did not happen overnight. They were incremental, and the framework here was basic, upgraded, even more upgraded. And that's the system. You don't need to do it all at once. You pick one dial, turn it up 10%, see how it feels.
