Hey, guys, I'm Ramit sethi here from iwillteachyoubrich.com. let me show you how the app works and we're going to go through and actually make a real call. So this is what happens. I'm coming to the app and I decided that today I want to lower my cable bill. Okay, so I'm going to click lower cable bill. And here I am at the instructions screen. It's going to tell me what to do, and I'm ready to make the call. So here we go. There's a handy list of all the popular cable companies. And I notice that, oh, this is my cable company right here. So I click it. Now it's going to take me to start dialing it and I'm going to put it on speaker and if I need to type any commands in like one or I speak English, that's fine. I can click that. When I get an agent on the line, I'm going to switch right back over to the app. So here I am in the app. And as you can see, the script is ready for you to use. You've got the actual words that you can use right now. So you're going to read off this script and you're going to see exactly what they say. They're either going to say yes or no. Now, each time they say no, don't worry, I've got what's called an escalation script. Often the first time you try something, it's not going to work. That's fine. Don't worry. I've got another script or another tactic for you to use. So here, the first time they say no, and the second time they say no. But guess what? I pulled out something out of my back pocket. And on the third time, they actually said yes. Now, let me show you what happens if it doesn't work. If you try a negotiation and you fail. You know what? Sometimes it happens. But let me show you how to prepare for that. In this case, I want to negotiate my cell phone bill. My cell phone bill is way too much money. I want to get it lower. So I go, I make the call and I go through every single approach. Reading off the script that negotiated provides me. Well, they still are not doing it. They're still not doing it. Still not doing it. Unfortunately, that's the end of the call. I've come to a standstill. There's nothing else I can do. No problem.
