Builder makes a heavy-duty ladder stand from two free pallets off Facebook Marketplace. He cuts one pallet into three 30-inch legs, adds cross bracing to prevent wobbling, and reinforces where the ladder sits. One-day project ready for house painting.

So I saw these super heavy-duty double-sized pallets for free out on Facebook Marketplace. Take a look at this. This thing's got double support, so these must have been for some heavy-duty stuff. But it gave me an idea. This one's a bit nicer, so I'm going to use it for the top, and this one I'm going to use for the legs. You'll see I already got my first 30-inch cut. I'm going to make 3 of these. They'll all be 30 inches because it's exactly 90 inches long. All right, so now the legs are attached and the underside supports are completely built with cross side structure to make sure that nothing can move. This thing's a beast. And this is it, ready for business. As you can see, my ladder stand is fully constructed. Put in bracings so that the ladder can't move both sides, and I've also braced the planks underneath where the ladder stand— or the ladder is going to be standing on. So now I'm ready to finish my project fixing the paint on the back of the house. Not a bad little one-day home project to get ready for that.
