In this short instructional video, Randy Dean – the Email Sanity Expert – walks viewers through the process of displaying a secondary time zone in Google Calendar. He opens the calendar, accesses the Settings (gear icon), scrolls to the Time zone section, and enables "Display secondary time zone," selecting a desired zone and labeling it. He also highlights the "Update my primary time zone to current location" option, which uses GPS to auto‑adjust the primary zone. Throughout the demo, Randy promotes his microlearning video series, his YouTube channel, his website (randaldean.com), and offers PDF tip sheets via email. The tone is informal, enthusiastic, and instructional, ending with a quick sign‑off.

Hi everybody, Randy Dean, Email Sanity Expert here. Just a few minutes ago, I made a new microlearning video showing how you can show a second time zone in your Microsoft Outlook calendar. But I know I have a lot of people here that use Google too. Did you know you could do the exact same thing in your Google calendar? By the way, this is part of my new series of quick little microlearning tip videos. Check them out on my YouTube channel. Uh, I'm going to escape out of here. Let's go into Google, into my calendar. Hey, notice I'm making some new YouTube videos. And, uh, what you do is real simple. You come up here to the little gear, which is your settings menu. In this case, it'll be your settings for your calendar. And you click on this— oh, hold on, I'm in my own way— and click on settings. Sorry. And then page down, it's right here. It's like right here. Time zone, display secondary time zone. Notice that if I want, I can come in here and pick whatever time zone I want and label it with whatever label I want. So now notice this right below it. This is sort of nice. Update my primary time zone to current location. So basically that's going to sort of watch wherever you're at using your GPS and Google Maps to update what's going on with your calendar. So, uh, just take a look at that. It's that easy. Let's finish this one up. I am once again Randy Dean, the Email Sanity Expert. I'd like to very much thank you for your time. Uh, take a look at my website randaldean.com if you'd like to learn more about me.
