In this short YouTube video, Randy Dean, known as the Email Sanity Expert, walks viewers through the newly added Google Tasks pane inside Google Calendar. He shows how to switch from the calendar view to the Tasks view using the Tasks button, demonstrates toggling between multiple task lists (e.g., Ebook, Webinar, Streaming Series), and explains how the pane lets users see several task lists side‑by‑side on a single screen—something that previously required a full‑page view that Google discontinued. Dean highlights the practical benefit for users who organize projects, activities, or events with separate task lists. He then briefly promotes his website and a set of productivity PDFs, inviting viewers to email him for a “YouTube PDF” bundle. The video ends with a call to like, subscribe, and share.

Hey everybody, Randy Dean, Email Sanity Expert here. Hey, do you use Google Tasks? Because if you use Google Tasks, you're going to like what I'm about to show you. Let's pop out here into the Google Calendar actually. When we go into the Google Calendar, something I wanted to show you here, let's get back to today. But it's not this Today button I wanted to show you. It's this button right here. Look at that button, switch to Tasks. I don't know how long that's been there. I think it's pretty new, but watch what happens when you click on it. It says you're in your calendar, but it's bringing up Google Tasks. And look at this view. It's got a view that allows you to go in and see different versions of your task list. So like if I click on, Ebook, I think it's going to take that. If I turn off webinar and streaming series, now I can see my ebook list and husband father. And so what this allows you to do is if you're setting up multiple task lists, say task lists for projects, activities, events like I do in my Google Tasks, I can now have task lists that I can see next to each other on a single screen. They used to have a full page screen for Google Tasks a few years ago. For some reason they, uh, stopped supporting it and it just became the little side screen. But now we've got a really nice little Task Tool Manager that's available in your Google Calendar of all places. If you want to toggle back to Google Calendar, just click back here and you're back in your calendar. I thought you'd like to see that. I was very excited and quite happy to see that. That's all I wanted to show you. I think it's just a really nice little thing. Let's go ahead and get back in and finish this one up. Once again, I am Randy Dean, Email Sanity Guy. If you'd like to learn more about me and my different programs, go check out my website, randaldean.com.
