In this devotional talk, Srila Gopal Krishna Goswami emphasizes that distributing Krishna books is the principal method for spreading Kṛṣṇa consciousness and ultimately saving humanity. He stresses that devotees must maintain unwavering dedication, mirroring Srila A. C. Bhaktivedanta Swami Prabhupāda’s relentless commitment to preaching even during severe illness. Goswami recounts an incident where Prabhupāda refused rest, insisting on continuing his spiritual struggle, and highlights Prabhupāda’s teaching that the books are so potent that merely touching them can secure a human birth. To sustain enthusiasm for book distribution, he advises continuous chanting and attentive hearing of the scriptures, asserting that as long as book distribution persists, Prabhupāda’s spiritual presence endures.

And the principal method for giving Kṛṣṇa consciousness is book distribution. In the material world there will always be disturbances, but devotee is not disturbed by these disturbances. So we should continue to have full faith in Prabhupāda's emphasis on book distribution as a medium to save humanity. Devotee should not think, "Now that the summer marathon is over," Now they can sit, they can relax. In spiritual life there is no relaxation. Prabhupāda in his last days was so sick, but still Prabhupāda did not stop preaching. Once Prabhupāda was coming down the lift of the New York building in 1975, and some devotees told Prabhupāda, "Prabhupāda, you please go and rest now and don't travel so much. Just take rest." But Prabhupada said, "Please don't take away my privilege to struggle for Kṛṣṇa." So to struggle for Kṛṣṇa is a great privilege. So when we engage in book distribution, we are giving the conditioned souls a chance to meet Prabhupada and the whole parampara. And Prabhupada said, "These books are so potent that if somebody even touches these books, he can get a human birth again." Now in order to stay enthusiastic and determined to do book distribution always, Prabhupāda's advice is that one must always chant and hear attentively. So please chant, hear, and you will always be enthusiastic to preach. Prabhupāda said, "As long as book distribution goes on, I will never die."
