In this devotional short, the speaker extols H.H. Gopāla Kṛṣṇa Goswāmī Mahārāja’s extensive service to ISKCON. He highlights Maharaja’s role in opening a large number of temples, training and initiating many youth disciples, and distributing countless copies of Śrīla Prabhupāda’s books—an activity described as especially pleasing to Prabhupāda. The speaker notes Maharaja’s lifelong tenure as a trustee of the Bhaktivedanta Book Trust (BBT) and as the longest‑serving member of the Governing Body Commission (GBC). Additional contributions include participation in prasad and annam‑vṛtti distribution, involvement with the Food for Life program, and being a major driving force behind the construction of the Temple of Vedic Knowledge (TVOVP). The speaker recounts a massive gathering of thousands of devotees in Delhi, interpreting it as a manifestation of Maharaja’s glories.

Chapters

Maharaj was known for opening temples. Number of temples Maharaj personally opened, number of devotees he made, the youths he trained and initiated them, number of books of Śrīla Prabhupāda distributed. He was— Prasad assigned this duty, "You!" He was made trustee of the BBT and he remained trustee for throughout his life. He is the longest GBC member in ISKCON. Many came and they were for different reasons, they had to leave the body or they had to resign, but Maharaj stayed on, he stuck to his duties as BBT trustee, also a number of books. That's most pleasing to Prabhupāda. Distribute my books! And book distribution is most pleasing to Śrīla Prabhupāda. So I think Gopalakṛṣṇa Mahārāja has pleased Śrīla Prabhupāda the most by distributing Prabhupāda's books. A number of plates of prasad distribution, annam vritti, he was part of that endeavor also, and Food for Life also. Building temples, not was he building temples in his zone, but he was a big force behind TVOVP construction. He gets the credit for where TVOP stands right now. So as we arrived, we brought Maharaj to Delhi, and there was an outburst, a number of devotees. I don't know where they came from. There were hundreds and thousands of devotees. I was Surprised and pleased also then coming here and additional thousands of devotees. This is a manifestation of glories of Gopalakṛṣṇa Gosvāmī Mahārāja ki.
