There's something about entrepreneurship that all of us at Launch Academy are just attracted to. There comes a time when you realize the world is your sandbox, and it's your opportunity to mold and shape the world into what you want it to be.
If you don't take risk, you will never find out what you're truly capable of. Some of the most groundbreaking discoveries in the world have been found at the edge of uncertainty.
Many people have told me that I can't do this or I can't do that, or this idea has never been done before. Well, I simply did not listen to them.
Hi, my name is Ray. I'm the CEO and co founder of Launch Academy. Launch Academy is a startup hub for entrepreneurs by entrepreneurs. Under one roof. You have everything that you need to go from an idea to an exit.
What I really like about Launch Academy is there's a growing community of people that are paying attention to business around the world. I'm noticing that even since I started here, more and more people from other parts of the world are starting to come here to work on their business. That is really helpful because it gives you insight on how things work in other places. There's more people showing up using distributed systems, they're using deep learning, they're using virtual reality, and you're seeing that community grow.
I was new to Vancouver, so I wanted to make some friends. And obviously those friends I wanted to have the same passion, which is entrepreneurship, startup, business, tech. And those people, I find them to be in Launch Academy, I can bounce ideas, I can get some help if I need to. So this is a great support system for me.
One of the challenges with running a company is that there are so many areas where you're not an expert at, be it content marketing, be it paid advertising, be it PR engineering. And I think the barter system that's informally set up here is the biggest benefit.
We are incredibly proud of our entrepreneurs. Since 2012, Launch Academy has incubated over 500 companies that have collectively raised over $100 million and created over 1000 jobs. What's even more amazing is over 20% of our entrepreneurs come from outside of Canada.
Our true function is to produce leaders of tomorrow. There's no formula for success, but if you're truly passionate about the work you do, success will follow. And your startup success story begins here. At Launch Academy.
You have one life, so trust yourself and make the leap.
