Short spoken segment (opening of a YouTube video) emphasizing that understanding the problem is essential before seeking solutions; the speaker references advice from "Nelson" and notes people sometimes skip problem-framing to jump to solutions.
Sometimes we and others lose sight of what is the problem that we're solving for. And there's also another situation where people say, I don't want to look at the problem, I want to look at the solution. And yet we know what Nelson shared with us years ago is if you understand the problem, you'll know what to do. So it's kind of critical that people understand the problem. So one of the things I thought of is I have a little fun with this topic. One of the things that always comes up in mind when somebody says, I don't, you know, I don't want to really talk about the problem. I just want to look at the solution.
