This excerpt from a YouTube video discusses the speaker's approach to business: they prefer to explain their methods and accept clients who align with that approach rather than pursuing high-volume, low-quality sales. The speaker contrasts "turn-and-burn" sales (high volume, low persistence) with "persistent" policies that remain in force until natural mortality.

So it would be better for me to just get out and explain to people why I do things the way I do them, because of how I understand the business to operate. And then if someone wants to do that, then I am more than happy for them to become a client. We're going to take great care of them. But if somebody wants to get fast food and they can go jack in the box, I just don't do the bad business style of approach. It's not people listening should know it's not good business. And when an agent says that we mean that it's the business shows low persistence. It means policies purchased in that sort of turn and burn, high volume, low nuance, compressed, modified style. A disproportionate number of those policies lapse early, before the company predicted they would. It's impersistent persistent business. A persistent policy is one that is purchased and stays in force until natural mortality.
