This is a YouTube video titled "Rita Hogan Discusses Digestive Enzymes" containing a monologue or talk focused on the importance of digestive enzymes for dogs, their sources, and the need for supplementation especially when feeding dogs kibble or cooked food. The content appears to be an informative presentation rather than a multi-speaker conversation.
Digestive enzymes turn food into nutrients and these molecules get absorbed and then they feed the cells. And the key is finding out where your digestive enzymes, I mean, your dog's enzymes, are coming from and if your dog needs supplementation. So enzymes come from basically three main sources. That's the pancreas, the stomach, and the food your dog eats. So enzymes deficiency can increase as your dog ages, depending on their diet. Now, dogs that eat kibble, deficient in enzymes. Right off the bat, I have never met a dog who eats kibble. That does it. That isn't deficient in enzymes because that component of the enzymes in the food isn't there because kibble is dead food. Now, cooked food also is low in enzymes or deficient in enzymes, depending on how long it's cooked. It's much healthier than kibble. But we still need to add enzymes. If you're feeding cooked food to every single meal, that's very important because your dog needs that one component of that equation of enzyme that comes from food. And if it's not from raw food, it has to be supplemented.
