Short video transcript of a plant profile in which the speaker showcases Blue grama (Bouteloua gracilis). The speaker highlights its low-growing, low-input habit, fine-bladed texture, dark green/bluish color, soft feel underfoot, and suggests it is underutilized in turf and landscaping; the filmed stand is young and just greening up in spring.
It was suggested to me on LinkedIn that I do maybe a plant showcase or plant profile, and thought I would start out with Bluegramma here behind me. You can see here that this is a solid stand of Bluegrama. It is a great low growing, low input species that I feel like is underutilized in the turf and landscaping industry. It, it's very fine bladed. It has a dark green, nearly bluish tint to it. So it's a, it's actually very aesthetic in its, in its appearance. So this is, this, the grass behind me is very, very young as far as it's just now beginning to green up in the spring. So. So there's not a lot of plant structure out here to really look at. But you can see the color and the fact that it's very fine bladed. It's very soft to walk on. So think about using blue Grommet in your next project. Thanks.
