A grounding exercise for anxious entrepreneurs: sit quietly for 10-15 minutes with feet on the floor, breathe deeply, remind yourself you're safe. It lowers heart rate fast and makes you less reactive to criticism and better at decisions under pressure.

So an example of how an entrepreneur can ground themselves to overcome their anxiety is to find a quiet space for 10 or 15 minutes and a comfortable chair, plant your feet squarely on the ground, close your eyes, and then just start to take deep breaths for several minutes. And remind yourself whilst you're going through that exercise that you're in a safe place and that your family is safe. You'll start to feel much more comfortable, your heart rate will lower, and you'll feel less anxious. Once you've completed these grounding exercises, one of the things that you'll feel almost immediately is a sense of calm. When you're feeling calm as an entrepreneur, first of all, you're less susceptible to take criticism as feeling negative on yourself, as a negative attack on yourself. The other thing which you'll experience is the ability to be able to make better decisions. You'll find it easier to make decisions under pressure because you're coming at it from a calm perspective. Perspective.
