A clinician compares earning £40 an hour on hospital shifts to struggling to charge the same rate for relationship advice and non-medical consulting work, unsure whether lacking formal credentials justifies lower prices for expertise outside medicine.

Just out of curiosity, if you had to charge, I don't know, let's say an hourly rate for each session over those 12 weeks, what would that— how much would you charge?
That's where I feel like there's a bit of a hurdle here in my mind because, like, for example, I know I could make £40 an hour by taking an extra shift at the hospital. And so I feel comfortable charging £40 an hour for that. But when it comes to the relationship stuff, like, I don't have any qualifications.
