Day 16: PhoneWagon product updates and Blue Bottle Coffee

Ryan Shank announces PhoneWagon's new simultaneous-ring call-forwarding feature and a workaround for 1-800 toll-free numbers, which generate more inbound calls than 866 numbers. An upcoming automation feature will send templated texts triggered by missed calls or voicemails, addressing the fact that 62% of calls go unanswered.

What up guys, it's Ryan with PhoneWagon day 16 morning updates. We have blue bottle again today. It's going to be a great week. So one thing that I wanna go over today in our morning update, our 16th business day in a row by the way, which is great, is just some things that we have coming out this week and next week with PhoneWagon product-wise, okay. So one thing that we just released is the ability to forward your calls to multiple numbers, right? Before we had it so you had to just choose one number and that was it. Now what you're able to do is you're able to actually forward it to multiple numbers and what it's called, it's going to do a simultaneous ring. So basically it's going to ring all of the numbers at the same time and then the first person to pick up, it will actually connect with that caller. The good thing about this, and I actually like this better than round robin, is because it's actually a win-win for both sides. It's a win for the customer because the call gets answered quickly, right? It's going to go to multiple people, the first person to pick up, typically in a sales environment too, they want to pick up the phone when a new customer is calling, right? Because then they get to work that lead. It's a hot lead. It's someone, a business owner on the phone typically. So it's a win for the customer and it's also a win for the business as well, right? Because now you're— and it's a win for the rep because you get to now work that lead, right? So it's really good for you as well. Your calls get answered. There's a less likelihood of the calls going to voicemail, which means that you probably won't be able to win that customer because what happens is if you miss the call or it goes to voicemail, statistically speaking, they are gonna just call your competitors, right? They're not just gonna sit around and wait for you to call them back. So anyway, that's the new feature that we had that came out. I'm pretty excited about it, and so we're excited to get that into the hands of customers. The other thing that now we're able to do, it's sort of a workaround, I think I talked about this a few updates ago, is the ability to actually grab a 1-800 number. So most of the call tracking companies, pretty much all of them, they offer toll-free numbers, but it's 866-844, things like that. So one of the things that we're doing is we can let our customers choose an 800 number or get an 800 number, 800, and what has happened is 800 numbers are actually proven to drive more phone calls. For some reason, customers feel more comfortable being, you know, dialing those numbers, and they actually drive more phone calls than 866-844. For whatever reason. Anyway, we're able to do it. It's sort of a workaround, but it's pretty easy at the end of the day. So to get an 800 number and to start using that in your PhoneWagon account. The other thing, finally, we're at the end of this week, we should be releasing the new interface. We have about a dozen or so people on the old interface right now. By the way, we're adding a few customers a week consistently right now. Maybe a little more than a few, every single week, and that's really good. Our lead volume has picked up, so a lot of people are coming and, you know, just kind of like inquiring about call tracking services, so we have a lot of great customers in the pipeline right now, so we're super excited about that. We also have, what else do we have coming out? So we have, oh, the automation. I'm actually gonna talk about that tomorrow, but it's super cool. We're the only company right now that is offering the ability to send, you know, automated text messages, automated messages based on events like missed calls, voicemails, calls from new customers, calls from existing customers, and then being able to send different templates based on the type of call or missed call or whatever it is. Super, I think, I literally think this is a game-changing feature. I think all businesses need to have it set up. You need to have some type of safety net, you know, in the event that you don't miss, you don't answer the phone, which you're not going to realistically, you're not going to answer the calls. Globally speaking, 62% of phone calls go unanswered, so you need some type of safety net, huge to have that in place, and you need to create the rules so that it makes sense. It's like if I have a drip campaign on Mailchimp and I don't have my segments set up, it's gonna be weird if someone gets a new subscriber, you know, email or a new subscriber drip that's a paying customer, right? So you have to have the right segments set up, meaning, you know, you wanna send the right text message, the right message to the right type of contact, whether it's a lead, whether it's a customer, whether it's a vendor, whatever it is. So I'm gonna talk more about that tomorrow, But that is coming out this week. We actually have some customers that are kinda piloting it. We've been doing like just one-offs customizations for them, but that's gonna be coming out globally, so it's super easy to set up and configure in your account. Again, I think this is freaking huge, and I'm super excited about it. Anyway, it's Monday. Have an excellent week. Let us know any questions you have in the comments, shares. I guess you can't let us know the questions in the shares, but anyway, have a great week.
