Ryan Shank walks through PhoneWagon's lead generation strategy, comparing Facebook leads to higher-intent AdWords leads and explaining how gated content nurtures lower-quality prospects. He's launching a case study tracking phone calls and web leads to measure conversion to appointments.

What up to the Phone Wagoners? This is Ryan Shank with Phone Wagon. Day 6 of our morning updates. We have our blue bottle coffee here and we're going to go over a couple things that we got going on over here at Phone Wagon in our headquarters. So first I want to mention we just onboarded our very first helicopter charter client from New York. So we're super excited to get you guys on the platform. You guys are doing some really cool things out of Westchester and they're going to be looking to use use PhoneWagon to help them with their PPC and a couple of their other campaigns. They're going to use the text messaging features and things like that. What we've been going over and spending a lot of time on recently again is funnels. I know we've talked about funnels before. I've recently started doing some things on Facebook and acquiring leads from Facebook and then driving them down a conversion funnel and what we're interested in learning is if you guys are using funnels and how you're driving leads from things like Facebook. So there was some other channels where we know we can acquire customers from to use PhoneWagon, and again, this is applicable to your business as well, whether you're a service company, whether you're in, you know, like healthcare, like a chiropractor or physical therapist, whether you're a cosmetic surgeon, anything like that, you can acquire customers in the same way, so I think it's applicable to your business as well, and that's why I'm talking about it here, but there's ways, to acquire customers that I would say are more expensive, okay? So for instance, if you're a doctor and you're acquiring customers from AdWords, probably pretty expensive, although that's a higher quality lead. What we're finding is that when we acquire leads and we drive someone through a funnel from Facebook, it's not as good of quality, which means it doesn't convert at the same rate as if someone who was doing a search or had high intent, right? But what we can do is we can acquire more of them and then we we can start to nurture those leads inside of some type of funnel. So what we're doing is we're starting to give a lot of content away or we're putting it behind some firewall where we're saying like, look, if you give me a little piece of information, for instance an email address, then I'll give you this beautiful, high-quality, tactical piece of content, and that's what we're doing. And we're actually, I'm gonna do a case study and I'm gonna stand up a separate landing page and I'm gonna drive people to it from Facebook and other ad channels, and I wanna see what the actual conversion rate looks like as if I was a local business. I'm going to track phone calls, I'm going to track web leads, and then I'm going to call the people and I'm going to try to get them to actually convert into at least an appointment. And then I'm going to do a huge, beautiful case study and I'm going to say, guys, if you use this language and if you do these certain tactics right here, you can acquire leads for X amount of money. So we're super excited to get that into your hands. We're testing some things right now with, with PhoneWagon for our own business and want to hear what you guys are using. So Leave a comment, share this post, and just let us know. I mean, let's engage in conversation and, uh, curious to see what you guys are doing. Have an awesome week. It's Tuesday, day after President's Day, and, uh, we're super excited to, uh, start working with you guys. Thanks. Have a good one.
