How To SET A Demo & Close the Sale - Cold Calling

Ryan Shank shows how to ask for a demo and close a sale on cold calls. Build enough value first, then ask for a 5-minute demo positioned as a painkiller for digital-marketing agencies. Skip the 30-minute ask and the hard sell without proof.

Wagoners, what's up? My name is Ryan Shank. Today's video is gonna be about the ask. When you're cold calling, or even if you're not cold calling someone, you want to ask someone for their time. One of the things that we're doing right now as a company is we're calling into digital marketing agencies and we're offering them a solution for call tracking, okay? Whatever product, it doesn't matter. The thing that we're trying to do is build up enough value in our service that they're willing to give us their time. By the way, guys, time is the most valuable resource that someone has in the world. It's finite, there's not a lot of it, and you can't get it back, okay? So if you ask someone for 30 minutes of their time, you better have a lot of value that they could potentially get in that 30 minutes. And by the way, 30 minutes is way too much to ask for. So what we do when we're going into them is we offer them a painkiller for a pain point that they potentially have. And we say, "Hey, we know that if you don't track your phone call, you're gonna lose your clients because they're not gonna know what came from you. They're gonna cancel because they're not gonna know that you're doing everything that you're doing for you. So what we have is we have a solution." We're gonna help you track the calls so that then you can show your clients what you're doing for 'em, and you're gonna be able to retain your clients, and you're gonna be able to save your business, grow your business, earn more money, and have a beautiful, prosperous life, okay? And if you just give us 5 minutes of your time, we're gonna show you exactly how we can do that. We're gonna show you how we do it for hundreds of other agencies, social proof, and we're gonna show you how we can do it for you, okay? And if you're not doing this, this is something that you need to do or else you're not gonna be keeping up. So, couple things in there is like we built a ton of value around a pain point, which is retaining their clients and growing their business, and we have a solution solution for them, and we only need 5 minutes of their time to show them how they're gonna be able to do this with their clients, and they're gonna be like other businesses just like them, other agencies, that's social proof, okay? When you call into someone, you can't just ask them for like the sale right away, 'cause that's like way too much, you haven't built enough value. You can't ask them for 30 minutes of their time, that's way too much time. You can't even ask them to do like a free trial or a demo, because it's like if you haven't built enough value around the product, and not even just the product, not even just the features, but like the benefits of the product and how it is gonna help them, uh, alleviate the pain that they're currently having, if you haven't built enough value, it's not worth their time and they're gonna say no every single time. But here's the secret weapon, okay? If you build enough value, all you have to do with value, by the way, is build the value in whatever you're selling greater than $1 of perceived value, they're gonna buy it or they're gonna do it every single time. So one here, you're not even asking for the sale. You're just asking them for 5 minutes of their time. And guess what? 5 minutes of their time is gonna help them with their business. It's gonna help them retain these thousand dollar, thousands of dollars per month clients, okay? It's gonna help them grow. It's gonna help them be a better agency. And that's what you're doing with just 5 minutes of their time. You're gonna be able to show them how they can do all of this stuff, okay? So that's what we're talking about when you're cold calling, when you're just getting into prospects, when you're just asking them for something. You wanna build enough value that justifies them giving you their time. And that's what the key takeaway is for this, guys, is look, when you're going outbound, when you're cold calling, it is a multi-step, multi-funnel process, okay? You can't just ask for the sale. You have to ask, you have to one, build enough value, then you ask for time for a demo, you show 'em the demo, and then you ask for the sale. Wants you value, value, value. You've given them all of this stuff, all this information. You've given them data on why the market supports this, social proof, all these other businesses just like them are doing this. And now you've built up so much value that you can now ask for that sale, and they're gonna do it every single time if you follow those steps. So that's how you go outbound. That's how you ask someone for their time, and that's how you do it in a way where they're not gonna be, you know, thinking that, hey, it's not worth it, because it is gonna be worth it because you've built up that value. So that's the tip for today, especially we're doing this when you go outbound. Hope you guys are doing that. Uh, my name is Ryan Shank. This is Phone Wagon. This is what we're doing. See you guys.
