Two people debate whether stress feels the same whether you're late picking up your kid or closing a billion-dollar deal. Ryan Shanker argues smaller stresses feel as intense as bigger ones. They wonder if the body's actual response is the same across both situations.
Is someone that's stressed because they're late picking up their kid, is that the same level of stress as someone that's like about to close a multi-billion dollar acquisition and someone's blocking it and they got to do the lawyer? Like, the bigger decisions actually are probably the same level of stress as a smaller decision, sort of like in sales.
Ryan Shanker's thinking smaller scale, so it feels like the same.
It probably feels the same. Your body— I'd be interesting to see like an analytic approach to like how— I don't know how you measure the brainwaves. Is the body's response the same?
And if it's everything relative, just fucking go big, right?
