In this informal daily‑vlog warm‑up, Ryan Shank narrates a hectic morning as he prepares to travel to his cousin’s high‑school graduation, which doubles as a recruitment opportunity for a future SDR hire. He juggles personal logistics—catching a train, coordinating a cleaning lady, ordering towels via Postmates, and managing an Airbnb‑rented spare bedroom—while emphasizing the importance of monetizing every aspect of his life. Shank also recaps recent hiring activities: meeting a potential SDR candidate in his apartment to demo calls and a college friend who does design work, outlining his plan to hire a product‑design‑and‑management hybrid by July 5 and treating the hiring process like a sales pipeline. He validates his momentum by referencing a viral cat video shared in a friend’s vlog, using it as informal proof of his venture’s appeal. The vlog ends with a quick sign‑off, promising to return the next day.

What up guys? What up guys? What up guys? Wagoners, here we go! Today's Friday. We are gonna dive right in. Just doing the warm-ups right now, so there's no day to count. Uh, this isn't the daily vlog. This is the daily vlog warm-up. This is batting practice. Here we go. So today what I want to talk about, a couple things. I actually have to be at the train station to catch a train in literally— it departs in 20 minutes because my little cousin, who's actually gonna be an SDR for us this summer, is graduating from high school today. Yahoo for school! And he lives in the middle of nowhere, which is my hometown. And you gotta take like a train to like a bus, then you gotta catch an Uber for an hour, and basically costs like $400 to get there if you don't have a car because it's in the middle of nowhere. It's only like 3 hours away. Sort of watching the clock on that. My cleaning lady's coming because I don't know if I've told you guys this yet, but I rent my spare bedroom out by the night on Airbnb. So every single night I have random different guests staying with me. You gotta monetize in all places, and I figure, you know, that's one of the ways that we're not gonna not monetize our lives. So that's gonna happen. Cleaning lady's gonna roll in in any second. Then I don't have enough towels, so I have to Postmates towels. Towels to have towels by the time she's here, so then she can have towels to put out, uh, all within the next 20 minutes. So that's gonna be, uh, really, really fun. Really, really fun. She needs to sort out her priorities. A couple things that we did yesterday, super excited about. We actually met with two different— I guess you could call them potential hires— one real potential hire. We're gonna meet at a coffee shop, but I wanted to show them a lot of things like demos. I wanted to listen to calls with them and stuff, so I actually had them just come into my apartment. Not very professional, but hey, I have a— I have a big desk here, and I figured it's easiest way right now to actually dive in and roll the sleeves up. And if you're in a coffee shop, it's kind of loud. You're not able to listen to calls. You're not able to kind of go through the demo and actually make calls to customers. So we did that yesterday. I thought it went really, really well. Again, I kind of sent him all the information and then we're going to see about getting him on board as a new hire. Regardless of if it's him, we still need to get someone on board by July 5th. So treating the whole thing like sales where you got to kind of continue to feed the pipeline and to get the warm leads and then you'll eventually get a conversion. $20 in my pocket. Second person person I talked to yesterday, so my— is my buddy from, uh, from college actually, but he does really, really nice design work. So I was just kind of picking his brain about, you know, the product design life cycle and the process that he does and he goes through. Ultimately, I'd love to bring someone on to, to manage products but also has— can actually do design and wireframes and that sort of thing. So you can kind of have the entire person fill that role, and then what I could do is then focus on either the sales side of things or focus on You know, kind of being the front end of everything, creating the content, doing the sales, and then helping these guys ultimately get value out of our products. So talking to customers and things like that. And that's what I want to do. For further validation, I mean, can you get much further? Check this video right here. Ryan Shank's vlog is tight. My friend and his cat loving the vlog. If that doesn't say that this thing is going to be hot, then I don't know what does. Okay? I mean, that is like video with a cat that was texted to me really late at night. I mean, you don't get better than that. You don't get better than that. And that's what we need because we're just in the warm-ups right now. Today, again, kind of weird because I have to like travel in the middle of the day, which sucks, but I'll at least have a ton of downtime once I— hopefully once I make this train, which is now departing in 18 minutes. And yeah, so I'm gonna go. I'm gonna let you guys go. Have a great Friday, and then I will see you tomorrow because it's every day. And hope you guys are killing it, Wagoners!
