Maybe get your thoughts on like stuff like that because like that's real. It's like something that's real. It's going through. It's not just jolly, oh, we're like building the company. Are we live here?
Hello?
Hello?
Is this thing on? Good morning guys. What's up? Welcome to the wagon today. Hold up. What day is today? Good morning, wagoners. August 30th. Today's our second day. We're meeting with a ton of investors today. I'm future Ryan right now. So I'm doing the intro for the past. But anyway, the day that you're about to look at, it was kind of crazy. We met with like, we probably had like 9 introduction meetings with different investors and stuff. I don't know, like between me me and you Wagoners, like, I didn't really— I didn't really like love the meetings. I didn't like love what was happening. They just asked like weird questions and like a lot of them aren't really in like B2B SaaS or they haven't really had like a ton of— anyway, it was cool, it was cool. Like, I'm super like humble and like thankful and like grateful for the meetings and they're all like super smart people who are doing like cool things. Besides that, Jim actually got, uh, he set a demo that then I closed like the next day. So he basically got his first sale on his second day, by the way. And I just did the metrics today, which we're gonna release in the vlog tomorrow, but his metrics are like insane. 10 demos showed this week from demos that he set this week, so that's insane. Anyway, you guys are gonna see everything in today's vlog. It's pretty cool. I like to edit today. Good job, Kane. So hope you guys are out there working hard, being pioneers, being wagoners. Oh, oh, oh, I forgot to tell you. If you guys are new here, my name is Ryan Shank. This is Phone Wagon. This is us building Phone Wagon from the ground up. No outside funding. We're out here in Techstars in New York City. We do this every single day, 7 days a week. So if you didn't come yesterday, you can come today. If you didn't come today, which you're here today, but you can come tomorrow. We do it every single day, 7 days a week. We don't take days off. Hope you guys are out there working hard, being pioneers, being wagoners. Welcome to the vlog. What else, crazy world? Here we go.
Hey.
No, you told me to say it.
Yeah, I mean, a lot of people want to kind of like play in this space. Like Vonage, right? They actually acquired like a Twilio competitor, which is more of like the API, but then I think some of these guys also maybe want like the front-end play as well. So there's, I don't know. I don't know is what I'm saying, but I also think there's a ton of opportunity. It could be like a Markel or someone who is already somebody in marketing that just wants like a marketing, you know, phone analytics, but who knows.
Something to think about for all investors. Okay, it's gonna grow, it's great, it's worth something. Yeah, yeah, yeah. Okay, I'll get my money in there. I guess there are aspects to that. For sure.
What we do is we do call tracking so you can see like— Okay, awesome.
Yeah, if you do, I just wanted to give you a call. I dropped an email into your inbox, and so if you have any, like, if you do have any questions, just let me know. Brandon, it's Jimmy. My name is Ryan Shank.
Sure. All right, well, take care. It was great talking to you. Got it.
Okay, so you're using— it's just straight out of Google Ads.
What's up, Ryan?
Dang, I just noticed that like some people have hat hair, I have like headphone hair. It's like, it's like the thing. The thing. So check it out, let us know what you think, and welcome to the wagon. Nice. You had a good day today. How'd I rate? It was okay.
You can do better.
You got a first set.
It's huge.
It's sick. Yeah, it's so sick. Good job, dude. Seriously, that's like huge. Welcome to FormWagon. I want to introduce you to today a feature called campaign monitors. Oh fuck, this reminds me of that person that was having trouble like with the dynamic number. They were confused, that confused person. Who was that?
He's gonna be able to add another dynamic number. Then once he adds that dynamic number, you know, it lives in my numbers.
It's not like— What the fuck?
Chesna said hi. Who?
Whom?
Jake Chesna.
Chesna, yo. Chesna. He just said hi, that's it? He didn't say hey?
He said, Ryan Shank, hi.
Just a little hi, like, hi.
Hey, tell him I said hi.
275,000 followers! That's a fuck ton! How do they have 275,000? We got not even a single clap that's not us. This is embarrassing, what the fuck?
Are we falling off?
I need to talk to you guys. I have something that has been on my mind. I may be brewing up for a little bit, but my best friend in the entire world is mad at me right now. What it comes down to is that I'm not prioritizing hanging out with him and some of the other people over, over other things. Prioritizing it, right? So it's like, you know, I'm getting this kind of backlash, but perception that either I don't care about the friendship or I don't, you know, value it and all of that. Like, I'm just like super focused right now, and then it's like if I do have time off, like, it's difficult to go like all the way to my hometown or something like that. And then so I'm like doing other things. In their mind, which I understand, it looks like either I don't care. Basically what happens that I do is I commit too early. So I was like, yeah, let's totally do that. Like, for instance, he's coming up for a concert in New York this weekend. He's like coming up, and last weekend I was like, all right, cool. Like, I wasn't able to do, you know, something else with you. I'm definitely gonna do this concert in New York. Now that the concert's happening, like, I want to leave New York because it's Labor Day weekend, so I want to get out of the city actually. So then to him, it's like, one, I'm flaking, and then two, I'm like prioritizing something else. Plus I have to like work, and we do this every single day, 7 days a week, so it's not like I just have like unlimited time. So it's like when I do have, you know, a little bit of time time. It's like I really have to prioritize, you know, doing that thing over something else because like time is so limited and space is so limited and stuff like that. I'm trying to figure out how to like balance, how to balance like being super productive and then figuring out like spending time with like friends and family and like getting back to everyone, but still being able to do other things in your life, you know, that you want. But kind of sucks because he's like my boy, my best friend from home, and I don't want it to feel like that. It's also like far away and, you know, it's difficult to, to make time and prioritize doing things, especially if it happens like frequently, like monthly almost, where it's like we don't have, you know, you have such limited, limited time. When I say resources, limited time to be to like do those things. So figuring that out, I think the biggest thing that you can do in this kind of situation is just communication where it's like, hey, you know, this is what I'm feeling. This is like how I'm living. Like, this is like what I'm dealing with right now. So like, one, I think messaging is important. I also think that like just like communicating like, hey, maybe not that you're not a priority, but it's like, I want to do those things. I just don't want to do those things at this point. You know, I'm like just personally going through it. I just wanted to share it with the Wagoneers, maybe get your thoughts on like stuff like that because like that's real. It's like something that's real. It's going through. It's not just this jolly love or like building the company. It's like real emotion. Emotions and human and trying to like connect. Yeah, I don't know what to say, but that's like what I'm dealing with right now. That's what's on my mind today. Peace!
