Tracking Phone Numbers, Landing Pages, and Blue Bottle Coffee

Ryan Shank launches PhoneWagon, a platform that tracks phone calls from different ad sources. A construction company's van generated high-ticket leads; a chiropractor converted cheap landing page traffic into profitable appointments by tracking which calls converted. Test your ad copy and offers while measuring results through tracked numbers.

Oh, hey there guys, what's up? It is Ryan with PhoneWagon. Today is day 5 of our new morning updates that you guys asked for and I'm delivering consistent morning updates. I think everyone likes this, the followers. We do have, as you guys were wondering, we do have the Blue Bottle Coffees joining us again today, every day from now on. I mean, I'm getting Tons of inbound requests from other coffee shops asking if they can come on the show. The answer is no. We don't do paid ads for coffee. It's only what we like over here at PhoneWagon. Right now, we're really, really, really into the Blue Bottle Coffee. So first of all, we have a lot of new customers that came on board this week. I want to thank you. We do appreciate it. We're going to deliver for you. So the biggest thing that I'm going to say is you can contact me anytime. Text me, email me, call me, whatever, live chat on the site, it doesn't matter. I'm here for you, or we have some other people on the team that can also help out in case I am not available, but I'm gonna be available for you if you have any questions whatsoever. One thing that I'm gonna be doing today is, so we have the new platform, the first version of the new platform is released today for some select customers. I'm not calling it a beta because it's not a beta, it works, it's great, it's beautiful, but we are slowly rolling it out to some of our customers. So what I'm gonna be doing today is creating a lot of video use cases and actually going through the flow using the new platform. A lot of the teaser and demo videos are online that I have right now on YouTube and stuff are just actually clicking through just design, so they're not live. So this is gonna be live, fully functional. So what, again, what I'm gonna be doing today is going through, creating numbers, configuring the numbers, recording the calls, playing greetings, playing whisper messages, and then I'll be going through sample use cases so you guys can see, oh yeah, that does make sense, just in case you're kind of getting stuck of like, hey, where should I add a number? What should I be tracking exactly? One of the things I was actually— when I was walking here today from Blue Bottle, I noticed a bunch of different ads. One, there was no real call to action. So one ad was a, like, a jeweler, I guess, where they wanted you to trade in, you know, like gold or something like that. One, I didn't know where it was. There was no website. And there was no phone number call to action, so it's kind of weird because it's like they're spending money, they're advertising on, I don't know what it was on, it was maybe like a mailbox or some type of print ad though, right? It wasn't digital and no call to action, no phone number. And then another one that I saw was a van that was wrapped, it was an air conditioning company. I don't think, I have to double check this morning, but I don't think it was a tracked phone number. So, you know, my question to them is one, I get it, it's for branding and stuff, but how do you know which, um, phone calls are being driven from that van. The thing is, my friend who actually has a construction company and they use PhoneWagon and tracked phone numbers and they actually have it set up very, very sophisticated. What they found was that their van drives a ton of phone calls and those phone calls are actually very, very good prospects and some of them have even turned into paying customers and since they do new construction, it's a high-ticket item, it obviously is paying for it. So what they are doing is now they are getting a fleet of vans, I mean if you think about it, worst case or mostly on the expensive side, $20K for the van, $5K for the wrapping, $25K. If you close one house every 2 to 3 years just from that van, the ROI on that is pretty tremendous. So just tracking that, being able to know what is coming from the vans, what is coming from that random buy gold ad that you have there. Also, I know a lot of people that are playing around with landing pages. Even if you are doing something simple like on Unbounce and you are driving Facebook traffic to a specific landing page that is not your website, so a lot of times if you you're a chiropractor, you might have like Empire City Chiropractic as your main website, but you also might have these kind of locally targeted landing pages like NewYorkChiropractor.com or something like that that's really designed for like local search or is really designed for kind of optimizing that. What you might want to have on that, what you probably want to have, is a local phone number tracked, forwarded to your main line so that you can see, hey, this landing page is actually driving, you know, 10, 15 calls a month. Of those 15 calls, I'm closing 5 new customers. Those 5 new customers come to me 3 times a month. I bill out to the insurance $500 per time. $500 times 5, you know what I'm saying? $2,500 for an initial lead that costs, what, $70, $80 to acquire. Really good return on investment, but you need to be tracking that stuff. Or maybe you are driving phone calls, but you want to test, hey, how can I drive even more? So you start to change the language. $25 off your first visit, free massage. Some chiropractors, by the way, give like a free 20-minute massage that's included and paid for by insurance. So maybe you want to advertise that to increase conversions, but advertise that and then use a tracked phone number to see which ones are actually converting more people. So those are just some ideas. I'm about to get back to recording more videos inside the product. Gonna be drinking the blue bottle coffee. By the way, wearing this Pritikin shirt. It's an awesome health and wellness spot in Doral in Miami. It's awesome. You'll go there, you'll get super healthy if you're interested in health, feeling good, and just feeling like a million bucks. So anyway, have an awesome Friday. I'm actually playing, uh, playing Rebecca Black's Friday, just getting pumped up, whatever. Um, have an awesome day. See you guys.
