Walk through creating a new user in Joomla's backend. Set their name, username, email, and password, then assign them to a group: registered user, manager, administrator, or super administrator. Each level has different permissions, with super admins having full access.

Today we're going to talk about how to add a new user through the Joomla interface. So simply go to your login backend screen and log into the account. Then all you're going to do is go to this box here called User Manager. Now this is assuming the person logging in is a super admin, okay? And all you need to do then here over on the right side is you'll see in the top right a little New button. Simply click New. And it's going to ask you for the name, so just enter the name of the person. And then what do you want their username to be? No spaces. Okay, all lowercase is what I like. Then enter their email address and then whatever you want their password to be. Make sure you make their password somewhat complicated. Now here in the group area is where you're going to assign them access. Do you want them to be a manager, just a registered user of the website, an administrator, or a super administrator? And the last thing then on the right side is you want to assign them an editor, a WYSIWYG editor, and that's it. So that's all you need to do in order to make that work. So just remember, a manager has a lot less access than an administrator, and a super admin has access to everything. And that's all there is to creating a new user in the Joomla backend interface. Take care.
