What's going on, friends and fans? Another sales tip for you coming from your friendly neighborhood sales coach, Ryan Dohrn, here. To text or not to text? That is the question. Well, is it really the question? I mean, I think we're to a point now where texting is pretty darn common amongst friends, among colleagues, amongst business professionals, but I like to always use a little bit of sales courtesy sort of in my texting protocol. For example, if I've never met somebody before, texting is not usually my first line of defense. Now, maybe I've met somebody trade show, received their business card, their cell phone number is there, then sometimes after I've exhausted email, maybe tried to call them, I'll drop them a text. But I think there's just a little bit of courtesy that, you know, kind of goes into play there. Is texting my first line of defense? It's not. But if I get somebody's permission, if they say, hey, drop me a text, hey, absolutely, one of the first things that I'm going to do. Now, I do think we want to keep texts very simple, want to keep them very short, and we definitely don't want to do all kinds of closing techniques via text. But text is a great way to communicate, whether you're young, whether you're old. But I think there's still just a little a little bit of common courtesy that you want to use in terms of texting, especially hours of the day and things like that. Hey, I look forward to your comments on this. If you're watching our video tips here on YouTube, go down below and make some comments on your opinions of texting. I think that'd be a great way for us to discuss this topic, which seems to still be a little controversial to a lot of people. I never text people. Well, yeah, okay, I think it's 2023. It might be time to step up our sales game just a little bit. Hey, if I could be of help to you, speak at your national sales meeting or something like that, reach out to me over at ryandohrn.com.
