In this sales coaching monologue, Ryan Dohrn emphasizes the power of sharing client success stories during sales conversations. He recounts a recent Zoom call where, by ethically mentioning other clients and expressing genuine excitement about their results, the prospect became visibly enthusiastic and later affirmed that the excitement was a key factor in his buying decision. Dohrn frames this as "proof positive" that selling from a point of client success almost always works, noting that it’s rare for a prospect to dismiss such stories. He uses a fishing metaphor to describe recognizing the type of prospect and adjusting the approach. The video also includes Dohrn’s personal narrative about how sales rescued him from financial hardship, reinforcing the career’s value. He concludes with a call to action, inviting viewers to contact him for coaching, team assistance, or speaking engagements via ryandohrn.com.

Hey friends, Ryan Dohrn here, your Global Sales Coach. And this week we're talking about success stories. Now, if you followed me for any length of time, you know that I'm a big fan of success stories. So I want to share one with you right now. I recently had an opportunity to meet with a client and I thought the conversation was going pretty good. And what I started to do was ethically talk about the clients that I'm currently working with. And as I talked about those clients, I was getting excited. I could tell the person on the other side of the Zoom call was getting excited. excited. And at the end of the sales call, this gentleman said to me, you know, Ryan, for me it's not just about ones and zeros. It's not just 2 and 2 equals 4. The reason I want to be involved with what you're doing and buy what you're selling is because I can just tell you're excited about these clients. You're excited about their success. And I guarantee you, if I reach out to them and call them, they're going to be excited as well. Friends, that's proof positive That selling from a point of success stories almost always works. It's very rare that I'm meeting with a client and talk about another one ethically, talk about another one and get excited about it, that the person I'm meeting with says, I don't care about them. It's very rare. And if it does happen, I know what type of fish I've got on the line and how I need to reel them in a little bit more effectively. Never forget, friends, selling from a point of client success Sharing how happy, how much you love your clients, how much they love you, it almost always results in a sales win. Don't forget, if this job was easy, if sales was easy, everybody'd be doing it, friends, and they're not. We're not crazy. We're the chosen few that have found a career that'll feed our families for a lifetime. Hey, I've been broke a couple times. Guess what got me out of that hole? Sales, not a rich uncle, and I've got one of those. If I could be of help to you, if I could be of help to your team, speak at your national sales conference, reach out to me over at ryandohrn.com. All right, friends, we'll see you next week.
