Hey friends, Ryan Dohrn here, your global sales coach. Here comes your sales tip of the week. Where are your emails being read first? Every piece of research I've Googled tells me that 80-some percent of emails are going to hit a mobile phone first. So because of that, we've got to think about our mobile readers. Now we know that all we got to do is a little swipe to get rid of an email, so our subject lines need to be specific, relevant, and on point. The second thing is you might want to change your mindset about emails. A lot of times in marketing and sales, people think, what am I gonna do to get my emails read? When I'm strategizing about emails, subject lines, structure, I'm thinking to myself, what do I do to not be deleted? What do I do so that my emails will move from the mobile phone over to a desktop reply? Now, here's the facts. A lot of us are gonna answer quickly on our phone, but serious business inquiries And serious business decisions are typically not going to be made on the mobile phone. So what do you do to get them to move over from the mobile phone, not be deleted, so that someone will actually answer it on the desktop? All right, great subject lines that are relevant, no more than 3 sentences in the email, make those pretty bulleted if you can, link to videos if you've got some video ways of thinking about it, and then just recognize even if you're like me and have giant font enabled on your phone You only have about 7 to 10 words in preview to get your point across. So that first sentence better not be things like, checking in on you, hope you're doing well. You better get to the point pretty darn fast.
