Hey friends, Ryan Dohrn here, your global sales coach, and this is your sales training tip of the week. Hey, do you remember back in high school or maybe college when you saw kind of a pyramid that had various steps on it, little bars, little colored bars, and your professor or teacher was telling you about Maslow's hierarchy of needs? Hey, I'd encourage you after watching this training tip to pull that up and recognize and realize whether you're guiding a team, or you're hosting a sales call with a client, if you think about the steps on Maslow's hierarchy of needs, you can almost always motivate your team better, and you'll almost always more deeply connect with the advertiser or the client that you're meeting with. Let me give you just a little brief example. At the bottom of Maslow's hierarchy of needs is people's physiological needs, like how you feel inside, you physiologically, how you feel. Well, I recognize on Maslow's hierarchy of needs, to move up the colored bars of the steps, up to step number 5, which is self-actualization, I've got to first meet somebody's physiological needs. Well, if you're leading a team, that would be creating environments that make sense, work-from-home environments that make sense, pay that makes sense, and things like that. When I'm meeting with a customer, those physiological needs would be, how much time am I going to take? Do I have an agenda? Do I have a point to the conversation? Or am I just there to sort of just show up and just pitch them something? I encourage you to go over, Google the image, read about Maslow's hierarchy of needs. I think you can format and formulate a better leadership plan as well as a better sales plan for hosting those meetings. You know, it's a topic that I love to talk about. At face value, people are like, oh, psychology, that's really exciting. Well, I love it because I feel like the better we understand our customers, the better we can connect with our customers, and the more that we can potentially sell them. So, go over and take a look at Maslow's hierarchy of needs, and maybe we'll talk about it more on our future sales tips. Don't forget, friends, I mean, if this job was easy, if sales was easy, everybody would be doing it, and they're not. We're not crazy. We're the chosen few out there, and we found careers that will feed our families for a lifetime.
