In this promotional video, Ryan Dohrn announces the 15th annual Niche Leadership Summit, scheduled for November 13‑15, 2024 in Alexandria, Virginia, just across the Potomac from Washington, D.C. He outlines the event’s refreshed focus and highlights the speaker lineup: Don Harkey (People‑Centric Consulting) will discuss the imminent staffing gap caused by generational turnover; Colleen McKenna, a top LinkedIn consultant, will teach media leaders how to maximize LinkedIn for business growth; Tim Herms, owner of Monterey luxury watches and former magazine seller, will share strategies for increasing company valuation and will host a luxury‑watch giveaway (10 watches). Dohrn will also host a cost‑cutting panel featuring ten publishers, emphasizing strategic cuts that preserve culture. The summit’s signature roundtables—B2B, consumer, and sales leadership—will be moderated by Matt McCollum (Great American Media Services), John and Aaron Westman (Coastal Style), and Nancy O'Brien (30+ years sales leadership experience). Viewers are invited to register at nichemedieevents.com, with a current fall special promotion, and encouraged to reach out with questions.

Hey friends, Ryan Dohrn here, and I am very excited to give you some details about our Niche Leadership Summit happening November 13th through 15th in beautiful Alexandria, Virginia, across the Potomac River from our capital, Washington, D.C. This is going to be a different event this year because we're focusing in on some different topics. So we've got Don Harkey coming from People-Centric Consulting, and he's going to be talking specifically about a staffing gap that is going to be occurring very soon in your offices. As the Generation Zers come in, the Zoomers come in, and the Boomers go out to retire, a gap is going to occur, and you need to be, as media leaders, prepared for that. We've got the number one LinkedIn consultant, Colleen McKenna, coming, and she's going to show you what you can do and what your company should be doing to maximize and leverage the power of LinkedIn. I've got Tim Herms coming, and he is now the owner of a luxury watch company called Monterey. But before he started that luxury watch company, he sold 2 different magazine titles for millions of dollars. And what he's going to talk about is what you can do to create more value within your company, what you can do to increase the total valuation of your company should you be looking to potentially sell one day down the road. Also, he's gonna be bringing a bunch of luxury watches to the event, and you, if you attend, if you show up, you have a chance to win one of 10 luxury watches that are gonna be given away at the event as well. I'm gonna be there, and I'm gonna be hosting a panel all about cost cutting. What can you do to cut costs but not harm company culture? You wanna make sure you're real strategic about cost cutting, but I'm gonna lead a panel of 10 publishers that are all gonna be giving some cost cutting ideas. And then of course, what the event is always known for is our amazing roundtable Sales roundtable, B2B roundtable, consumer roundtable, and we've got three serious pro moderators that are going to be moderating those tables. So Matt McCollum is going to be moderating B2B from Great American Media Services. We've got John and Aaron Westman that are from Coastal Style. They're going to be moderating the consumer table roundtable, and then the sales leadership roundtable is going to be moderated by our very own Nancy O'Brien. who has got, well, let's just say more than 30 years of sales experience in the leadership space in the media business. It's the Niche Leadership Summit. It's about, I think, maybe our 15th annual event. We would love to have you there, November 13th through 15th in beautiful Alexandria, Virginia.
