Ryan Dohrn shows how to time your emails to land in prospects' inboxes right before they check messages. If Bob replies between 9:00-9:30 am and 4:00-4:30 pm, send emails to arrive just before those windows. Track response patterns in your CRM and use delayed-delivery features to stay at the top of the inbox.

Hey friends, Ryan Dohrn here, your global sales and marketing coach, and here comes your training tip of the week. Get into your CRM, get into your email program, and start tracking the times when your customers actually reply. What's interesting is that you probably know that we're all creatures of habit. Absolutely. But when you look at it, you'll notice that certain people tend to reply in a pattern of certain times. Let me give you an example. There might be a customer of mine, his name is Bob. Bob tends to reply between 9:00 and 9:30 in the morning and 4:00 and 4:30 in the afternoon. Well, if I know that and I've seen it multiple times, then I'm going to use the send later or delayed delivery feature in whatever email program you use. And I want to make sure that my email hits the top of his inbox at exactly the time when he almost always replies. Now you might say, well, Ryan, I could leave the email sitting there from 7:00 AM and he's going to respond at 9:00. Yeah, but if you know that he replies at 9:00 and 4:30, set your email to hit right before that so you're at the top of his or her inbox. See, one of the things that I like to teach folks and coach folks is a lot of sales is a lot of strategy. And when you think about being strategic, it's about the little details, the little things that make the biggest difference in your sales game. Track those replies, track when people respond to phone calls, voicemails, etc. And I think you're going to take your sales strategy friends to a whole new place. All right, I'm Ryan Dohrn.
