Stop multitasking. You're not good at it. You just think that you are. All right. So here, if you're driving or working out or something, don't do this exercise. But let me prove to you that you cannot multitask. All right. Okay. So what I want you to do is sit comfortably in your chair and I want you to begin to rotate your ankles to the right. So rotate your ankles and your feet to the right. Okay. Right. Right. Just rotate them to the right. You doing it? Okay. Now rotate your hands to the left. Now try really hard. Think about it. Multitask. Rotate your feet to the right and your hands to the left. What happens? Your feet start mimicking your hands because your brain is not trained to do that multiple tasks at one time. Well, Ryan, I can tap my head and rub my belly and chew gum at the same time. Okay, it's a different way of engaging your brain. Most of us don't multitask effectively. As a matter of fact, have you ever been talking to someone on the phone and they begin to talk sort of like this because they're reading something on the other side of the phone and they think that they're just talking normally to you. That's because it's very difficult for you to read and talk at the exact same time unless you're just reading something, right? It's difficult. That's why when you see a news anchor, sometimes they'll put their finger up to their ear, like, because somebody in the booth is talking to them. But it's difficult to talk and hear at the same time. It's difficult to do 2 things at exactly the same time. So your brain is not designed to do that. And so you're tiring yourself out by having multiple screens, trying to do multiple things at one time. Now, multitasking can be accomplished, friends, if you're really good at it and you can actually prove that you are good at it. But for me, I've just realized I can't multitask. I'm sacrificing quality by trying to multitask.
