Ryan Dohrn breaks down his Power Prospecting template: a three-word subject line, then three sentences. First sentence names the recipient and drops client names for credibility. Second sentence pitches a specific value prop. Third sentence asks for a 10-to-15-minute meeting with a Calendly link.

Hey friends and fans, Ryan Dohrn here, your Global Sales Coach. Happy to answer your listener questions. And today that we're focusing on a question that I get on a regular basis: Ryan, what is your prospecting process? Well, that's kind of a lot for a 2 or 3 minute video, but let me tell you about my Power Prospecting template. So I follow the rule of 3 and 3— 3 words in my subject line, 3 sentences max in my email. Now how are those 3 sentences laid out? The first sentence is going to be very clearly the person's name, and then it's going to be social proof. Social proof is name-dropping other clients that you've worked with. Second sentence, what value can I bring to that person? And I'm being very specific and I'm being very relevant. Third sentence is my ask. I only ask for 10 or 15 minutes. If I can get 10 or 15 minutes, then I can get 30, then I can get 45, then I can get 60. So the first sentence is your social proof. Hi Bob, I'm working with so-and-so, so-and-so, and so-and-so. Love to help you too. Second sentence is what value you can bring. So talk about the value proposition, be very brief, that will be relevant to them. And then the third sentence is my ask, and you're just asking for 10 or 15 minutes. Now maybe you give them your link to your calendar, your Calendly link or something like that, or whatever that circumstance is. The rule of 3 and 3, I call it my power prospecting template, and you can read more about that in my new book called Selling Forward. So you can check that out or on Amazon, Barnes& Noble, wherever you buy your books, Kindle, Audible, you name it. And we're actually raising money for the Golden Harvest Food Bank with books sales, the sales of those books. All right, friends, if I can help you, reach out to me, ryandohrn.com. Otherwise, remember, forget if sales was easy, everybody be doing it, and they're not. We're not crazy. This is a career that'll feed your family for a lifetime. All right, use that Power Prospecting template. We'll see you next week. Bye.
