In this motivational speech, Ryan Dohrn shares personal anecdotes—a story about his wife losing over 100 pounds and a near‑fatal emergency‑room visit—to illustrate the power of eliminating excuses. He argues that once excuses are gone, results follow. Dohrn stresses the importance of creating memorable experiences for teams, claiming that these experiences shape beliefs and drive actions that benefit the leader and the company. He presents a three‑part framework—what you will do, how you will do it, and why you do it—as the fundamental strategy for effective leadership and personal success. A brief interjection from another speaker reinforces the message by urging listeners to trust a proven speaker who consistently delivers results.

My goal is really, really simple. I want to equip you and give you some great ideas that hopefully you can use to take your personal life and your sales life to places that you never thought possible. My wife of 25 years, She lost over 100 pounds. When people say, how'd you do it? What's your secret diet? What'd you do? What'd you not do? Did you work out? She said, friends, once you lose your excuses, that's when you find the results that you desire. Once you lose your excuses, that's when you're going to find the results that you desire. Am I in heaven? And this really nice lady said, no, you're in the emergency room and I'm your doctor. She said, Mr. Dohrn, she said, your blood pressure was 211 over 147. And she said, I'm not sure that you died, but you got pretty darn close. Friends, today I'm hoping that you'll never have to end up in the emergency room before you make changes to your life. Because I'm going to ask you, what are you going to do to be memorable? All of us have memories. It's interesting the things that you remember from your past, isn't it? Because you can't remember sometimes things that happened last week, but you can probably remember the first person that you kissed. Can you remember that? The experiences you create for your teams drive the beliefs that they're going to have in you and your company, and those beliefs are gonna directly impact the actions that they're gonna take for you or on your behalf. I believe that's the fundamental strategy if you want to be the best manager, leader in the world. Basically, everything in life happens in 3s. Okay, how many legs on an efficient stool? 2? 3. What's it take to move a mountain? A human being can move 10 times their own weight. You need 3 things: a lever, a fulcrum, and some type of inertia. 3, 3 things. It's important to recognize, friends, all of these ideas are going to take a little bit of work. But if you let the excuses keep rolling on, the bus gets fuller and fuller. And all of a sudden, your excuse factory is chiming, it's running, it's cranking out excuses faster than cars come out of factories in Detroit. There's 3 things here: what you're going to do, how you're going to do it, and what almost everybody forgets is why. Why are you doing it?
The why is what's inside of you. Put your faith and trust in a tested speaker that delivers results every time.
