In this weekly tip, sales and marketing coach Ryan Dohrn discusses his recent experience with social media marketing for B2B professionals. He notes a decline in reach on Facebook and argues that LinkedIn is a far more effective platform for B2B sales because it is a business‑focused destination, whereas Facebook serves as an escape for most users. Over the past 60 days he observed that his LinkedIn campaigns, though initially costly, delivered roughly double the results after collaborating with a LinkedIn specialist who optimized the ads. He emphasizes the importance of seeking expert help to improve LinkedIn performance, while clarifying he is not opposed to Facebook and even holds shares in the company. Ryan concludes by inviting viewers to contact him via ryandohrn.com for further assistance, reminding the audience that sales is challenging but essential for long‑term career success.

Hey friends, Ryan Dohrn here, your sales and marketing coach, and our tip of the week is all about social media marketing. Now friends, one of the things that I do on a regular basis is I use LinkedIn, I use Facebook, Instagram, etc., to go ahead and create myself or try to position myself as a thought leader in the business. Well, one of the things though that I've been noticing lately is that I'm just— my stuff is just not getting as far as it used to get. On Facebook. So I started digging into it a little bit further, and what I'm realizing is, friends, we've gotta spend an amazing amount of time really focusing in on what is Facebook really, really great for. If you're in the B2B business, I would suggest to you in the sales business, you're gonna get further, faster marketing on LinkedIn than you're ever gonna get on Facebook. Now, why is that? I believe that Facebook for the most part is an escape for most people. LinkedIn is a lot more of a business destination. For most people. Over the course of the last 60 days, I have noticed my LinkedIn campaigns are expensive, but I also made a phone call and sent an email, and I got online with a LinkedIn specialist. They optimized my campaigns, and I'm getting about 100% better results just by spending a little bit of time with them. Now, I'm not a Facebook hater. I'm a shareholder at Facebook. I just want you to recognize, if you're in the sales and marketing business and you're using Facebook for B2B marketing enterprises, Retail separate, consumer separate. In the B2B space, what I have found is that there's no better place for me to be right now than LinkedIn. But make sure you get some help and optimize those campaigns. If I can be of help to you, friends, reach out to me. ryandohrn.com is the website. Never forget, if sales was easy, everybody'd be doing it. Are we crazy? Maybe. But we found careers, friends, that'll feed our families for a lifetime. All right, take care. We'll see you next week.
