Hey friends, Ryan Dohrn here, your global sales and marketing coach. And today we're talking about becoming a time management ninja, a time management master. Now, a lot of times when I talk about this, people are like, oh Ryan, I tried time blocking and it didn't work out. It's probably because you tried to do too much. A lot of times somebody will attend one of my seminars and they'll say, man, I love this whole time blocking thing. Then what they'll do is they'll block out everything on their calendar and then they fail because you're not used to having to be organized in your day. So here's what you might want to do. Think about what are the 3 most, most important things in your sales day. First is prospecting, second is retaining clients, and third is hosting meetings, right? So what you want to do is block out those 3 hours, but start with one, whichever one's most important to you. Do that for 2 weeks, then add another time block. Then after 2 weeks, add another time block. So let's just say you want to prospect at 11 o'clock every day. Great. Add that on your calendar for an hour. The previous Friday, add an hour in the afternoon to research for the people you're going to call on next week. And then live and die by that 11 o'clock time block. Do that every day for 2 weeks. Then you want to add in a retention time block. Then add in your meetings time block. Then add in another prospecting time block. The more organized you are, typically the more successful you are in the sales business. Becoming a time management master is not about doing everything overnight. It's about adjusting yourself, getting your schedule in tune, and living and dying by that schedule. Just something important. Launch it for 2 weeks, one time block, and then add more to it. Don't try to do everything at once. How do you eat an elephant? One little bite at a time, right? And that's how you'll be successful. Hey friends, never forget, if sales was easy, everybody'd be doing it, and they're not. We found careers, friends, that will feed our families for a lifetime. We just need to get organized to get it done. Love to come speak at your conferences. I'm fully vaccinated, ready to hit the road again and get back out there and motivate you to sales success.
