Short excerpt from a YouTube panel at SaaStr Annual 2015 where Jason M. Lemkin and other speakers discuss the SaaS community and the conference experience. Speakers emphasize peer networking (companies with tens to thousands of customers), the conference’s strong pull (high attendance, influential attendees), and vendor-customer interactions on the expo floor (e.g., lanyard promotion, ~70 customers encountered).
If you want to be with your peers in SaaS, folks that have something. Ten customers, 100 customers, a thousand. That's the whole point of this.
Jason has hit a nerve with the SAASTR Annual conference, and he could have gotten a venue that was probably five times larger.
Hey, thanks for coming. How you doing? Good. Good to see you. Good to see you. So it's been busy the last few weeks. Yeah, we wanted to make sure we went public before this event. So you've got over a thousand people that are influential in this space that just expl.
Growth hacking, like I said, worked from a top of the funnel perspective, but it was not closing deals.
He tweeted at us to buy this lanyard. So we did it on day one, knowing that it would be a blowout event. We've run into over 70 customers probably out there on the floor, and I think we've pulled enough business cards to add another 70.
Next year will be even more fun.
Right.
So we have this amazing community that we built sort of accidentally and organically. So come here. That's the community for you. We'd love to see you next year.
