Jason M. Lemkin shows how to build custom Salesforce dashboards by connecting the API directly to Replit, Lovable, or Vercel instead of using MuleSoft. He built a real-time ticket sales and attendance dashboard that updates hourly, something standard Salesforce can't do. You can replicate roughly 10% of his workflow in an hour.

simplest way you can get some of this done, like the most basic version of this, and Amelia will show you, we'll go deeper, but this headless Salesforce idea that's in the media, if you haven't tried it, it's really effing powerful. Okay. And they just, Salesforce just launched something called headless Salesforce if you're on Salesforce. And some of that is actually a product that doesn't even exist yet. It's on MuleSoft, which they bought years ago and a bunch of stuff that most folks are never going to use. You're not using MuleSoft. Who's in the room using MuleSoft? Okay. Nobody. Okay. But most of you are using Salesforce. The Salesforce API is really good. So if you do nothing else, spin up a Replit or Lovable or v0 from Vercel and tell it, and then just tell it you want to go into Salesforce and build, I want a type of dashboard or analytics I don't get today. Okay. For example, for me, I wanted, I want real-time visibility into attendance and ticket sales here every hour. That just doesn't work in Salesforce, right? So that actually took two APIs, Biz One and Salesforce. But my point is now I can interact with Salesforce data in a way I never could. And this is, you can get a quick, ours started off as a dashboard for tickets and attendance, but it could have been a Salesforce dashboard. For sure. You do not, if you really want to do something cool, just go to, you can do it in Cloud Code too, but I actually think Replit, Lovable, or Vizor are easier. These connect and just say, yeah, connect me to Salesforce with their connectors and I want it to do this and watch some magic happen. They already work headless and agentic. You can get 10% of what we do in an hour and maybe do something really cool that you would never be able to do with Salesforce on its own because these agents are so powerful.
