Principle 6: Emotional Alchemy — Transmuting Fear, Doubt & Self-Sabotage

In this New Mind podcast episode, the host outlines two core principles for traders and anyone seeking personal mastery. Principle 6 – Emotional Alchemy explains that fear, doubt and self‑sabotage are not enemies but unprocessed energy that can be transmuted into focus, confidence and calm. The speaker stresses that emotional reactions stem from identity‑based conditioning and attachment to outcomes; therefore, deep inner work—clearing past perceptions, re‑programming subconscious beliefs, and building emotional intelligence—is essential. Practical tools such as breathwork, grounding, priming and daily self‑assessment are presented as ways to regulate the nervous system, create emotional resilience, and gain a decisive edge in trading. Principle 7 – Expanding Consciousness expands the discussion, positioning trading as a mirror for life. The host argues that patterns, habits and emotional states that appear on the chart reflect the trader’s broader life habits, discipline, self‑respect, and consciousness. By raising awareness, expanding consciousness, and treating trading as a dojo for self‑mastery, a trader can align inner identity with external performance, turning the market into a feedback loop for personal growth. The episode ends with a call to action for viewers to engage, reflect on their emotional state, and pursue deeper work through coaching or master‑classes.

Grand rising and welcome to New Mind, where our intention is clear and it's to share information for transformation. Thank you for being here. Thank you for taking the time to watch this on YouTube or listen to it on the streaming channels. If you are listening and you feel like some engagement, some pictures and colors, some eye-to-eye contact, I am here at the studio in Dubai recording this, so I'd love for you to engage share, comment, and let us know what we can do for you to make this series and this season even better. So thank you for being here. So we're continuing the journey of these principles, these principles that I have extracted over the years, um, from the traders I've worked with, things that I've seen make the impact, move the needle. Honestly speaking, the principle that I'm about to start and, and share with you is probably the most important principle. And I don't want to rank them because they're not in particular order, but this one without a doubt, without a doubt, has been the one that shifts the needle the most. Um, it doesn't mean that the others aren't important. They all add up. They all create this holistic approach. But this one in particular, and I know you would know this without— probably resonate with you— this one in particular is the one, is the one that if you have it, if you're good at it, you are guaranteed to become a more successful trader and a better version of yourself in life for sure. And that is emotional alchemy and the ability to transmuting fear, doubt, and self-sabotage. Now, this is really important because when I say fear, I want you to understand fear isn't the enemy. It's unprocessed energy. And what matters is what you do with it. And this is really, really important because all the time people come to me and they have this extra loaded fear aspect, um, and I'm like, guys, this is just something that we haven't transmuted, we haven't processed. Let me change that into excitement, into inspiration, into confidence. So a big, a big, big one, of course you all know when it comes to emotions and trading, is the fear of loss. Right? It's a big one. But the reason that is the fear of loss, the reason that's there is because there's an attachment to the outcome. And when there's fear, there is an emotion, right? And what is creating that emotion is the anticipation for the outcome not to go according to what they want. There's the anxiety of everything going wrong. But immediately that picture, that image, that future projection creates the fear in the nervous system, which then we have— then we're sitting with an emo— an emotional trader. We're sitting with someone that is unable to regulate their emotions, unable to, uh, manage their trades. They're all over the show. And I would say an emotional trader is a trader that shouldn't trade, shouldn't be in trading at all. And you have to have emotional intelligence so that you can have conviction in what you're doing, which we spoke about in one of the principles, but also just building that self-trust as well. And there's an immediate, immediate, immediate doubt that kicks in when there is emotions, right? The lack of preparation or unresolved identity conflicts that shows up. This is why when I work with traders, I go deep into their identity. I always say this, it's not about the emotions, it's about the Identity and the internal perceptions that create this projection in the future that allows them to become more emotional, more fearful. So clearing out the fear and clearing out all the past perceptions and negative conditioning is key to be able to manage your emotional state, to regulate your emotions, to regulate your nervous system. And unfortunately, the more charge based on your conditioning of the past, the more emotions you have. The more you are triggered easily, right? You are— the more suppressed emotion that doesn't work, they, they leak out in, in, in behavior. You know, suppressing emotions will always leak out in your behaviors, and they are the triggers that I'm talking about. So when I work with my clients and particular traders in this context, I'm always making sure that we are releasing all that past, we're releasing all the emotional charge, all this misaligned perceptions so they become more grounded, so they become less reactive in what they're doing, and they become less emotional traders, right? Because think about this, if you are an emotional trader, and again, I'll use fear as an example because it's one of the big emotions that show up, what does fear do? Fear hijacks the nervous system. It's fight or flight, it's narrow focus, it freezes. you narrow your focus, you don't see opportunities, you move into this lack mind, you move into this disempowered mind. And this is all coming and stems from fear. Fear is, in this case, the enemy. It really is, because it's just giving— it's just showing up and bringing out all the negative behaviors that you don't want as a trader. So dealing with that, dealing with your emotions, having emotional intelligence will eliminate all those negative behaviors. I mean, you guys know most revenge traders are emotional reactions, and most revenge trades or traders, as I mentioned, is our emotional reactions to not having that conviction, not having the strategic decisions that they're doing. So they always are reactive. And how can you be reactive when you're trading? Because you're going to be thrown off every 2 seconds, every minute, every half an hour, every trade, specifically when the trades don't go against you, because fear kicks in. And then fear, it's driven by a program, and it literally takes over. But what I'm saying in this principle, and what I'm introducing, is the traders that I call have emotional alchemy. And what they do, and what I've coached them to do over the years, is the ability to turning that fear into awareness, into focus, into transmuting that and understanding that this is showing up, and how do I manage that emotion? How do I become aware of it and it doesn't take over? Because it's a program. All programs, specifically the limiting programs, are driven by thought and feeling. And once the feeling kicks in, once the emotion kicks in, it calls up that program of a specific behavior, that state. That negative state. So remember, this is not, you know, how can I say this, this is not just talk. This is actually how your nervous system works and how your subconscious or unconscious programming works. The fuel of all these programs are emotions. The instigator, the trigger, is emotions, and it triggers you into a specific state. Right now, if you have emotional intelligence and you've done the inner work and you've cleared your nervous system by not having emotional charge from the past, and you're sort of more grounded, more present, you learn to process emotions. You don't lose your power in the trade. You, you don't have a negative relationship with what's going on. And it's really important because there are tools out there, guys. And some of the things I share with my traders, like specific breathwork practices, specific reframing, you know, grounding practices that they do, which almost resets and sets them ahead of moving forward before their trade. And this is why I always say, you know, the science of priming for me is a big, big thing. And if you're applying that in your day-to-day life And in your trading, you are setting yourself for success because what you're doing is you're developing a calm nervous system. And a calm nervous system equals a clear decision-making process, clear decision maker. You want to be a clear decision maker? That doesn't come without having a calm nervous system. And not, not having a calm nervous system is basically an emotional trader, an emotional person. That is not regulated, that is jumping, that is reaction, reacting to everything in the market, good or bad, by the way. Let's just be very clear, but not having that grounding energy. But when you are clear, when your nervous system is regulated, when you are emotionally intelligent, doubt disappears. And, and doubt disappears even more when you're grounded and your preparation is strong, of course, right? So you start to have the right attitude, the right energy, the right perspective, conviction— everything we've been speaking about, about these principles, they all start to come together. But at the top, or should I say at the foundational level, honestly speaking, at the foundational level, in order to create that success, to create that momentum, to create, to build, it starts with emotional integrity. And emotional intelligence. This is super important. And also understanding that your emotions—you start to read, you start to communicate with your emotions—they become the feedback, the feedback to what your body's telling you. We're going back into intuition, our previous principle. All of that is communication. It's part of emotional intelligence, right? It's part of having alchemy in what you're doing because. Remember, it's the same fear that sabotages you in trading often runs your life outside of the markets. So again, I always used to say this in my previous episodes and some of the podcasts before, if you're a fearful person outside of trading, it's going to translate in your trading, obviously. You know, if you're a person that deals with anxiety, it's going to translate in your trading. So deal with those foundations, deal with those roots first. So you create an opportunity and a possibility that actually shows up in for trading and in the market to the best version of yourself that is not emotionally reactive, you know. So emotional resilience is the real edge, honestly speaking, guys. Emotional resilience is the real edge. And honestly, I again have seen this over the years when there might— when the traders I've worked with have emotional intelligence and emotional resilience That's when the market rewards them because they have calm minds. They have calm minds, they have conviction, their intuition rises because it's not distorted by the noise, and they just come into the space of knowing, the space of awareness. And they also know when they are not emotionally regulated, they do something about it. Because at the end of the day, we are humans. We're gonna get triggered. I'm not saying for you not going to feel, don't get me wrong. We all feel, we all have emotions. That's part of the human making. But if you do not know how to deal with it, to transmute it, to clear it, to do some work to reset it, you're just going to be in that spiral. You're just going to be a reactional trader, an emotional trader, and an emotional person for that matter. And that unfortunately doesn't take you much very far in life because the way life is created, the way this matrix is created It's to work on triggering emotions. It's to work on inducing you to be to switch to a specific emotional state because you become predictable. People become predictable when they are in a specific emotional states. We all know. I mean, look at the past few years when people are in a fearful state, they become irrational. They don't think practically, and they do things which they regret later. And let's just— I'm speaking code here. I think you know what I'm talking about. But understanding that emotions drive behavior, and if you understand that on a fundamental level, then you go, okay, well then I know that if I have certain emotions, I'm going to do certain behaviors that's not going to serve me. How can I learn and be a master, an alchemist in regulating my emotions so then I can become more of an observer and more calm in my mind. Because as I said, markets will reward calm minds, not emotional traders or emotional people. So I trust this is another principle, another reminder to gauge where you are at and to be honest with yourself. Do you fear you have limited emotions and fear of missing out, or fear of losing, or overconfidence, overtrading, ego coming? All of these are driven by emotions. So ask yourself, where do I rank from 0 to 10? Am I emotional trader? What number would I give myself? When am I emotional? How long does it take me to come back into balance? Do I have any practices that I do on a day-to-day basis that will regulate my nervous system? Do— have I done inner work, deep work, to release a lot of insecurity that drives negative emotions of the past? Because they're just conditioning, that's all they are. This was the part of my work that I absolutely love. It's like formatting a computer, you know. A lot of the guys that work with me, they want like, I want this and that. I'm like, well, before we even create, before we get into the identity, we have to release the past because that's where all the emotions are hidden. Right. Right back there, and they're stored, and they're you know trapped in the body. And a lot, and because no one taught us, no one taught us how to regulate our emotions. No one taught us how to process emotions. We never learned that at school or uni or in any courses. I had to literally specialize in this to learn that this actually exists and how it can change people's lives. Very grateful. I apply this in my own life every day, and in the lives of the clients, of course, and my traders and the people I work with, giving them those tools. And the knowledge and the and the know-how, but we don't know what we don't know. If we never knew this, we just continue being an emotional person, and that's how life continues. And we continue acting on on those emotions and re and being a reacting a reactional person. We're never really in charge, are we? It's the programs. It's the subconscious programs that takes over. So aligning that, getting you back into balance, and building emotional mastery. Emotional, become emotional. The the alchemist of yourself is the, in my opinion, based on years of experience, that is the number one principle that will definitely make the difference in becoming a more abundant, successful, profitable, happier person that you are. You all have that in you already. It's just that we need to gauge where we're at and and do the inner work. So guys, if this episode resonates. With you. If you have any questions around emotional intelligence, building emotional resilience— what does that look like? How do— does someone get into it? DM me, reach out, comment. I'm more than happy to go deeper into this topic because this is a topic that cannot be covered in, in an episode, to be very open with you. It is just more of a reminder here that to gauge where you're at, and I'm more happy to go deeper and share more in this context and how We can build that emotional resilience even more. So guys, thank you for taking the time to watch this or listen to this. I appreciate you being here. Much love and positive energy, brother. Do you mind giving me the water because I just want to have a sip? We continue one more one more principle and then a short video. We're doing well. We're doing well. It's moving. Thank yeah yeah merci mon frère. Thank you, brother. I'm just gonna because I don't want to stand on stay at the camera. Is everything working well? Yes. Okay, we'll continue the last principle and then we're done with this series. Perfect. Okay, I have one more thing to shoot after this and then we're done. It's good clocking it. Perfect. Okay, one, two, three. Principle number seven. Grand rising and welcome to New Mind, where our intention is clear and is to share information for transformation. Thank you for being here. Thank you for taking the time to watch this or listen to this on the stream. If you're watching this, I hope you're enjoying the studio here in Dubai. And if you're listening to this and you feel like watching for a change, go check out our YouTube page. It'll be— link will be in the description. It's the New Mind Podcast. Looking forward to engaging with you guys more. And let's dive deep into today's episode, tying up the final principle. Again, they're not in a specific order, but principle number 7. And principle number 7 is expanding consciousness and understanding that trading is a mirror for life. And I know you've heard me say this, and you probably heard others say this, that trading is not just about the markets, it's a mirror for your entire life. But it's true. The patterns you fight on the charts are the same ones you face outside of it, right? Think about this for a moment. The patterns that you you fight in your trading is the same patterns that you find challenges that are outside of trading. And I want this to really resonate, or should I say sync within what I'm saying because. The way you trade, I say this all the time to my traders, by the way. I say the way you trade is the way you live. So how's your life? How are you living today? And you know, it's it's like a moment of reflection, a moment of like what do you mean? Like so all the bad habits you have outside of trading is going to pour into your trading. All the good habits you have is going to do the same. So the way you trade is the way you live. So how do you live? Do you have discipline? Do you have routines? Do you you have a good relationship with yourself? Self respect? Do you have strong convictions? conviction in yourself, in life in general? Do you trust your intuition? Do you have good emotional resilience and intelligence? Um, you— do you feel you are emotionally, you know, are aware of your emotions? Do you know how to process all of that outside of trading? Will obviously impact your trading, right? Because think about this, impatience, for example, on the screen is impatience in relationships and life. Right? If you're an impatient person, you're going to have that impatience in the screen, and you're going to find that same pattern in your life. Attachment to outcomes— another example. Attachment to outcomes in trading is attachment to everywhere else. I've known traders personally who are very much attached to outcomes and connecting that to their self-worth. And unfortunately, they move into connecting their performance in trading to their self-worth because there's an attachment about succeeding in trading equals me being good enough versus not succeeding equals I'm not good enough. So there's a big attachment to the outcome, and that obviously reflects outside of their trading as well, right? I want you to think about it like trading is, um, is a dojo, a place to practice mastery of self. You know, it is literally this gym, if you want to call it. And the more you see certain things that go wrong in your trading, it's almost screaming out that you got work to do outside of trading. You got work to do on yourself. And it's tough, I know. Uh, that's why I work with traders, and I understand it myself. It's not easy, and I'm not saying it is, but that is what the practice of self-mastery is. It's not going to be easy. but it's a beautiful reflection. It's a beautiful mirror of where you are at. You know, think about it. Like, just take a moment now when I'm sharing this with you. Think about the patterns that you find challenging and the problems you face in trading. Guaranteed, there's an indirect or even more clear direct connection with something outside of you, outside of trading. And I want to raise people's consciousness. And I always say this, consciousness is the ultimate edge. It's the awareness beyond the outcome. The more conscious you are, the more aware about this mirror of life that's reflecting on your screen, you are getting the signals. You are able to change. You're able to move and do something about it. So trading mastery becomes life mastery. That's what part of expanding your consciousness is. Because if you believe you're worthy and you have conviction in yourself and self-belief and self-trust, and you love yourself, and everything you're doing outside of trading is aligned— come on, the chances of you succeeding in trading is pretty high because that becomes just part of the package. It just becomes part of that identity, that personality. And that's why I always say, like, the inner work, you know, about changing and updating your perceptions of how you see yourself. And when you shift how you see yourself, everything changes. The trade, the decision, the life— everything changes because it's an internal-external relationship. And everything first inside of us needs to change in order to see changes outside of us. I, I have a— I think I'll probably share this this maybe on the YouTube channel later, but I have this masterclass where I literally go dive deep into understanding how our inner reality shapes our outside reality using the neuroscience. Not just, you know, the wishy-washy— the actual neuroscience of understanding that everything changes once we change within us. And that is part of expansion of consciousness. That is the part of us understanding that there's something greater And deeper than this whole relationship with trading. There's the sense of detachment, freedom, flow. And when you get to that space of awareness, when you become more conscious about your energy and how you feel, everything starts to come together. You start to see opportunities on the screen. You start to avoid the things that just don't match you because your intuition is telling you, what are you doing? Like, you're not going to even attempt that because you deserve it. You believe you're worthy of it. And that expansion of consciousness, that expansion of awareness, is what drives those behaviors, is what drives that elegance in achieving and becoming an abundant person in your life, or a trader for that matter. Because, you know, I know a lot of traders are pushing, you know, you have to have edge, you have to have edge, you have to wait. Yes, of course. But why is 90% of traders failing? It's because it's not just the edge. There's more to it. There's more to it because the market doesn't care about your edge. It honestly doesn't. It reflects your state back to you. I'll repeat that one more time. The market doesn't really care about your edge. It reflects your state back to you. So how you're showing up in front of the screen, the energy you hold, The more conscious you are about yourself, about how you're feeling, where you're at, how— what's happening out in your— out in your— in your life outside of trading, does that have an impact in your trading? You know, your environment. I speak about environment a lot if you've listened to my previous podcasts, which is very, very important as well. But that's part of you becoming aware. And again, it fits back into the whole equation because the more conscious you are, the more expanded your consciousness is, the more— or should I say, the less reactive you are, because there's nothing to react to because you are aware. And awareness is the first step to change. How aware are you? How aware are you of your insecurities? How aware are you of the things in your life that is not serving you today outside of trading that is trickling into your trading, that is affecting your day-to-day trading, that's affecting your focus, affecting your discipline, affecting how you show up for yourself? What are those influences outside? I call them leaked energies because you're leaking your energy. What are those and how conscious are you about them? I know this sounds weird, but for me, I look at trading sometimes as a spiritual journey. It really is. Because you are using it to evolve, not just to earn. You're using this as a reflection of where you're truly at. How worthy are you of this? You know, because money is just the mirror, but mastery is internal. I'll say this one more time, guys. Money is just the mirror. Mastery is internal. So expanding your awareness is what separates short-term traders from true masters. And expanding that awareness, expanding that knowledge, expanding that consciousness is what's going to take you very far in life, is what's going to get you to the destination that you actually want. The destination, which I call living a life of absolute freedom, a life on your terms, a life that you feel proud about, you know, you feel good about, you feel that you have moved the needle in your life. But you can't get there if you're not a conscious person. It's the truth. You can't get there if you are operating on Programs. You have to be conscious, and you have to work on expanding your consciousness, and you have to have this attitude of ever learning. Not oh, I've reached here. I've made five figures, six figures, seven figures. That's it. I know it all. That's the biggest and worst lie you sell yourself when you think you know it all. Because let me tell you, no one knows it all. No one. And the truth is, we don't know what we don't know. There's so much out there that if you never heard about it, it doesn't mean it doesn't exist. It's out there. And that's why trade— excuse me, traders that are successful are the traders that have that attitude of open to expand their consciousness, open to constantly learn, not only just updating their strategies with the market changes— of course that goes without saying— but more about what they're doing in their day-to-day, more about evolving and connecting with themselves and growing in all aspects of their life. Because it's the mirror again, guys. Just remember, it all reflects back. So when we're having challenges, when we're not profitable, when we're not making money, it's not just the edge. It's not just your skill set. It's not just the indicators you're getting, whatever. It's it goes far deeper than that. It goes way, way, way deeper than that. And this is where most people unfortunately are unaware. Most traders are unaware that it's. Bigger than just this frame that they see through their eyes. There's more depth in what shows up and why it keeps showing up and why they keep getting the same patterns and why they keep getting the same roadblocks and why they can't grow beyond a specific threshold. It's all interconnected with how— with their identity and how expanded they are versus being very contracted in what they're doing. So guys, this is me wrapping up the final principle Which is about expanding your consciousness. And it was actually one of my missions when I started this journey almost a decade ago to raise people's consciousness so that they can master their life and master themselves. And funny how life goes, where I ended up working with traders and CEOs and entrepreneurs. And again, I'll say it over and over again, I don't have all the answers. But what has helped me is the experience I have gained helping others. And believe it or not, they have been my best teachers. And in fact, most of these principles that I'm sharing with you has been principles that have reflected back through the work where I've been working with them and how they showed up and when they were shifted, when they were improved, when they were dealt with, there was an immediate reflection in their reality, and, and, and the outcomes showed up because they did something about it and they hold these principles. Now, maybe some of these principles that I've shared for you, my listener, maybe you have some of them already. Maybe they're already part of your scope. Maybe you're, you're doing well, but maybe some of them aren't. And that's why I wanted to bring those 7 that I found the most helpful in our work and in developing the right mindset and the right energy and the right conviction in what you're doing, where I've seen the results perform well and move the needle in terms of profitability. Because ultimately, that's what everyone is after, is making money, right? And making more money comes with a specific set of mindsets And skill sets that you need to have within your identity and within the personality of that future self that's going to generate the wealth that you want. Because you, you can never generate what you want being the person you are today. Something about you needs to change first in order to become that future self which will unlock that timeline and unlock those results in your life. So guys, one more time, thank you so much for being here. Thank you so much for watching this or listening to this on the stream. Please guys, I am asking you to subscribe to the channel so we can contribute towards the channel. I'm asking you to please make a comment if this resonates, if you found any value in this, see, in this series. I would love that. My intention is to create more of these mini-series because it's something you can go back to, it's something that it's easy to sort of combine, and it's little nuggets of reflection with actionable insights that are done with the intention to help you, to support you, to make you, uh, you know, to help you become a better version of yourself both in trading and in life. So thank you so much for being on this ride with me, and on to the next one. Much love and positive energy.
