The Coherence Code: How Aligning My Brain and Heart Changed My Life

Sam Daghash teaches brain-heart coherence, a practice that aligns your nervous system through breathwork and gratitude. Inhale for four counts, exhale for four, repeat 10-20 times while focusing on what you're grateful for. He says this shifts your body into a state where your heart can give you clear yes or no answers.

Grand rising, beautiful tribe, and welcome to New Mind, where our intention is always clear and it's to share information for transformation. I'm inspired in spirit, and how could I not be in this beautiful nature studio? A nice little change from my studio in Dubai, as you can see, and I'm super excited to share some beautiful downloads that's come through me, to me in this, in this nature. And I was like, you know, I realized sometimes we just need less interference. Sometimes we just need less noise, and we just need to quiet the space around us so we can actually hear our thoughts. More importantly, hear the inner wisdom, hear what the heart is informing us, what it's guiding us, what it's telling us. telling us, because a lot of the times we're stuck here and we hardly go back to the heart. So those of you that are watching, my beautiful tribe, those who are listening, you can check out the YouTube page. Again, this is a new YouTube page that I recently rolled out, and I just do it because I think sometimes visual is also great. I have a lot of listeners on the streaming platforms, but I really want to grow the community here. So if you're listening on the stream, please jump on the New Mind Podcast on YouTube, subscribe, watch, follow. I would appreciate the support in building this page, building this YouTube page, and, you know, building more subscribers so more people can get this information, et cetera. So if you're new to the New Mind Podcast, let me introduce myself, 'cause someone the other day sent me a message and said, hey, I like your content, but I don't know much about you. So I was like, you know what, I need to start reminding people my background. So I'm a master coach and practitioner, with just under a decade of experience working in transforming the mind through different modalities and tools. And I'm a specialist in alignment and reconditioning of the mind. So anything and everything related to the mind is my baby. And, uh, you know, I always say the mind is the software and the, the entire physical body is the hardware. And we have to align the mind and the body to achieve whatever it is we want to achieve in this, in this lifetime and to experience life in its fullest potential. Because you that are busy watching or listening to this right now, you deserve to live the best life. And if you feel stuck, if you feel you're in a place that you do not want to be and you want change, then this is, this is the place. This is the, this is the community that I'm building, which is creating change. And how do we create change? So I want more of you that are watching or listening to send me messages, send me DMs, because I'm more than happy to tailor and to ask to answer questions that you guys ask, specific topics and areas that you like me to focus on. I'm always, always happy to guide. That's my intention with this podcast and with New Mind and what I'm creating here. So coming back to the main topic of today's podcast, I feel like it's almost like a vlog because I'm in a different space. But anyway, I'm flowing today, as you can see, and I'm gonna flow with what's coming through. And one thing that is really allowed me to go back to my foundations, the principles that I personally live by. And one of them is the principle of becoming and practicing and being more in coherence. Because if we're not in coherence, if we don't know how to activate the heart and the brain coherence in life, we will always have a lot of noise, distractions, interruptions, and we'll never be clear. That's why we feel stuck, because we really don't know what we want. Sometimes we want to attempt something, but fear is holding us back. or we worry about not being good enough or this or that. But ultimately, it's all here. It's all in your mind. And once you change your mindset, you change the set of rules that you play life by, and you begin to experience life on a whole different level. And you become more free in your mind and then free in your life. So again, if you're someone listening or watching this, I'm really here to remind you that I'm the evidence of it. I'm the evidence of creating a life on my terms. which I thought was never possible. Over a decade or even more ago, I was in a 9-to-5 job, getting permission to take 3 weeks a year off and exploring only once a year a part of the world that I'd like to. By the way, that's Rosie that just climbed up the tree. Rosie, what are you doing? Rosie is one of the beautiful cats that is with us at the estate. Beautiful. And her name is Rosie. But yeah, sorry for the distraction there. But what I was, what I was coming to is the importance of remembering that when we get information, when we learn from someone, when we want to transform, we have to get it from someone that is embodying and has done the work themselves. And honestly, aside from the clients that I do on a week-to-week basis and my practice at New Mind, I have done this work. So I'm here to speak from my truth because I feel that if someone has applied the work and is living the proof, then that's the best teacher, or should I say the best mentor, or the best person that can share with you knowledge. You don't want to get information from someone that is not experiencing something that they are preaching, right? So it's always important. So for me, number one rule is always learn from someone that has achieved the goals that you're looking to achieve. For example, if you're seeking freedom, if you're seeking peace of mind, if you're seeking a life that is more on your terms, more confidence, more self-love, more self-appreciation, more exciting opportunities that you want to experience. All of that begins within the embodiment of your alignment and also following your heart. What is your heart telling you that you're supposed to be doing? A lot of the times we don't connect with the heart, and this is the topic of today, is how do you connect with your heart? How do you get wisdom from your heart? How do you get guidance from your heart? What are the things and the steps that I need to do, Sam, that will allow me to have more courage Become more fearless. Meow. Yes, Rosie, are you stuck in the tree at the moment? But you got what I'm saying. So this is super important. This is living by those values, but also understanding that there are certain tools, certain practices that you can mechanically do and apply in your life that will ultimately get you to where you want to be. And one of them, and the most important one of them in my opinion, which is again, from my own practice and my own learnings over the years, is the ability to get into what we call a brain and heart coherence, where we can start to listen for inner wisdom and inner guide that happens from within, right? A lot of people don't tell you this, but science shows that the heart has its own mind, it has its own memory, it has its own intelligence. And if we are stuck in our mind, we're never getting that wisdom. And I'm here to let you know that you can activate a whole new mind. And that's the mind of the heart. No one's ever told us this, right? We can get wisdom from the heart, but the way we do that is we have to get quiet. We have to get still. We have to learn how to breathe. So here's tip number 1 to get the wisdom and to activate the heart's mind. First and foremost, you sit up straight in a place where you will not be distracted. Second step. Is to always slow your breath down. You breathe in through the nose and out through the mouth. But when you're breathing in through the nose, you're breathing a count of four, and you're exhaling for a count of four. So in through the nose and out through the mouth. Now you start doing that for ten. maybe 20 times. And when you're breathing through the nose and breathing out through the mouth, I want you to focus on your heart. Focus that as if your heart has a little window and the air is breathing through the heart. So what that does, mechanically speaking, it slows down your heart rate. It also brings you down into a— your nervous system switches from sympathetic, which is Fight or flight, overthinking, overstimulated versus more calm, more relaxed, more grounded. And it just calms your nervous system. And what you do is, that's the first practice, is just getting into this state of coherence. In through the nose and out through the mouth, and you just breathe. Just breathe. Play some background music if you want, or if you're lucky enough to be in a space like this where it's quiet and you're just listening to the birds, And you can breathe. So that's step number 1. Step number 2 is, as you do that, you're doing 10, maybe 20 counts of breath, you start to think about one thing that can elevate your emotion, activate that heart. Because what activates the heart, what gets the heart awake for the mind to wake up, the mind of the heart to wake up, to send you signals, is to get it Get more energy there. How do we get more energy in my heart? I've never heard of that. Is that even possible? Yes. How do you do that? You send information through the mind and you start thinking about one thing or 2 things that you're super grateful for. Why? Because gratitude is the ultimate state of the heart. It activates the heart. It makes you feel warm and fuzzy in the heart. And that's what we want. We want you to start feeling good in the heart. And as you do that, as you activate your heart, You focus on that picture or that thing or that one thing that makes you feel good, and then you'll start to feel more and more of this energy buildup that sends signals to the brain and says, hey, you're safe. Hey, you're good. And when you are in that state— and this takes about 10 minutes, 15 minutes, guys. It's not like an hour practice. It's literally just getting quiet, breathing, and then after that, you start to think about that one thing that you're good for. And in that place, you build that energy in the heart. You feel that warm and fuzziness, and the more you do it, the better you get good at it. And here's the kicker. When you are in that state, because you're shifting into a state, this is where you can ask any question to your heart. I know this sounds crazy, but trust me, if you ask anything, you ask your heart, dear heart, I need some guidance. I need some wisdom. I have a question for you. Give me a yes or give me a no. And it will give you the truth. I need to do this. Should I do this or should I do that? What's your— and you will know that it's coming from the heart, not from your monkey mind. Because most of us are here. And none of us gets guidance from here. And that's what I want. I want you to be able to tap into this knowledge, tap into this wisdom. Now, if we want to go deeper in the conversation, deeper into the work itself, this is a very one-layer aspect that I'm sharing with you, but then there's more magic that happens. The more you practice, the more you learn, the more you go deeper into this knowledge, this ancient knowledge that's been around for thousands of years. And only now, HeartMath Institute out in California, the best and most advanced institute for researching the heart, they're realizing, oh my God, the heart has its own field. It's magnetic. There's a field that goes up to 8 meters wide around you when your heart is open, when you're in coherence. It's like a field. It's like you become like a satellite that's generating and sending signals out. Now, if we want to go deeper in the conversation— and I'm not going to go there too deep because I just want us to start at the fundamentals— but understand that there's the quantum mechanics side of it, the quantum model of reality that is connected to the heart. And as they say in the quantum model of reality, thoughts are the electrical charge and feelings are the magnetic charge. And remember, how you think and how you feel is your state of being. So if you're able to practice the state of coherence, of gratitude, on a day-to-day basis where you feel grateful, you feel grateful, you feel grateful, what you're actually doing is you're sending a frequency, you're sending a vibration which is measurable, that is saying, I'm grateful for all that is, I'm grateful for this. And that not only changes your physiology and your mind, and you start to see more of what you're grateful for, which is all magic, But it also starts to send a unique signal out into this unified field that connects everything physical. That's called the quantum field. And you will start to attract more of what you are grateful for. You will start to attract more of the experiences that is in alignment with that feeling, because feeling is a signal. So if you feel gratitude, gratitude, gratitude, you're going to send that signal out and you're going to get that signal back. Because that's the law, the law of cause and effect. So the more you are grateful, the more you will become more grateful for things that you will receive. And it's very interesting, this topic in particular. I find it fascinating because if you know me, I grew up in multiple cultures. I'm multicultural and multi-religion as well. And in all the religions and all the faiths that I've come across, they always speak about the heart. For example, in the ancient wisdom of Christianity, Jesus himself would say, the kingdom of heaven is within. It's in the heart. God is within you. It's in the heart. Everything is about the heart. This beautiful divine gift that keeps you alive. Also, in the Arabic scripture of one of the old ancient Islamic scriptures, says, if you thank me, you shall receive. Same thing in Christianity, same thing in Judaism. So what is this thank me and shall receive process? It's a process of sending a signal out and receiving, right? So when you thank, you shall receive. It's like almost like if you have a relationship with someone and they're so grateful that when you give them a gesture, when you give them something, a gift, a favor, And when you know that person on the other side is super grateful for what you have given them, it's almost like a little instinct inside of you that wants to give more. Think about it. That's the innate nature of our makeup, of who we are. When we are appreciated, we want to give more. When we are in gratitude, we will receive more. So my reminder to you, my beautiful tribe, is to practice this. Send me a DM if you're listening to this. Those of you who sends me a DM or sends me a message, I will share with you a free brain and heart coherence practice that will allow you to practice this on yourself, by yourself. So I want to see here who's more proactive. I want to see from the viewers here or the listeners, if you send me a DM on sam.daghash on Instagram, or even just email me at info@samdaghash.com. Just let me know about you, share some information, and I will share with you free A guided experience that is designed to activate your heart and to connect with your heart, to raise your energy and to start to see life through that lens of appreciation. And when your heart grows and when you activate it, the more information and wisdom you receive, the more courageous you become, the less fearful you become. Remember they say lion's heart? They talk about the heart because the heart is where we get our courage from. The heart is where we get our wisdom from. The heart is where we feel unstoppable. So if you are feeling stuck, fearful, insecure, perhaps it's an invite for you to connect with your heart. Perhaps this message today— I know someone out there is ready to receive this— is a reminder to be grateful. For your heart, to be grateful for the life that you get to live every day, for the experience of it all. And I'm really saying this with absolute truth and absolute knowledge and absolute experience, that this is one of the biggest things that's changed my life, is the ability to understand that I need to practice on a day-to-day basis activating and speaking and acknowledging and loving my heart. Because heart is the source of it all. And I believe the heart has multiple chambers, and it's the language of God. It's the language of the universe. It's the language that has always been there in the past and in the future and for millennials to come. But again, this is just a reminder to you, my beautiful tribe, For those of you who are listening or watching this, to make time to get into coherence, to make time to thank your heart for pumping life into life and bringing you to life. So here's my message, tribe. Again, if you're listening to this or watching this, I want to know more about you. I want you to send me a message. Just say, hi Sam, heard the last podcast about brain and heart coherence, activating the heart, the language of the heart. Whatever I'll name this podcast title, I haven't decided yet. But I want you to send me a message, and I promise you I will share with you for free one of the guided audio experiences that I give my clients that I coach and the guys that I do the practitioner work with that work on transformation. And I'll gift that to you for free just because you're here today listening or watching this. Thank you again, tribe. Thank you again for making the time to tune in, in this beautiful space that I'm in. Have a look. Nature, nature's medicine. Honestly, it forces your nervous system to recalibrate to the space around you. So if you have time, make time for nature, my beautiful tribe. The biggest medicine you can give your soul. Love you all, tribe. Thank you so much again for taking the time. Much love and positive energy.
